I guess those Dylan Mulvaney ads had the same effect for Nike that they did for Bud Light. And the Colin Kapernick fiasco where they cancelled the Betsy Ross shoe was a real man of genius as well.
The best ads are the ones with social messaging, right?
Nike should have listened to its' greatest sponsor of all time, Michael Jordan who refused to get political. "Republicans buy shoes too".
The same would work in reverse as well, but it is the woke crowd who has been forcing its' views onto others in a vastly disproportionate number of cases.
Sure, there are always other factors contributing to this kind of massive drop, but when your boat is taking on water, you don't drill yourself another hole.
On a side note, I am quite interested to see if this effects the Oregon Ducks NIL competitiveness next year.

Place is sports is considered hate speech. Thank god my daughter never had to deal with a mentally ill person trying to play on her teams or share a locker room.

already established brand - like say Disney or Nike, and you try to push the social messaging of your present day execs onto the public, it is another.
In the former case, it's good business. In the latter case, it is stupid business if done in either direction, but much worse if it's woke.
