tht Republicans will retain the House and in the mid-terms will take back the Senate easily. Therefore, there will be no significant new expenditure programs enacted during Clinton administration. Unfortunately, there will also be no entitlement reform, so the national debt will continue to soar into the stratosphere.
...go back to the more traditional model which served us well and much more cheaply, or proceed to a nationalized health care program which will be a giant expenditure but will still suck the assets from anyone with savings before then giving them inferior coverage of less things. Crisis will force a decision, and the Dems will hold the upper political hand as always.
We've already seen how the government manages healthcare - the VA System.
Which way do you think Hillary and the Dems will go? I think that we all know the answer. And that is a GIANT new expenditure program.

But Jesus, Trump has made it as obvious as he can that he is a dictator at heart. He has no qualms about tearing down the system.
I'll say it again - his nomination represents a major threat to this republic.

He will likely be the most innocuous president...which would be awesome.
Regarding your link...you're the guy who tells us not to worry about a lot of stuff (we won't have to pay off our debt), and then you get off your couch and tell us to worry about this.
It just can't happen here, though, right Ned?
Should be an interesting experiment...
You are being disingenuous, because you only see the possibility on one side. I see it on both. So, I see how Trump is not different as you say he is. The threat is normal, as it always has been, and will be.
I prefer having a system which limits the president, regardless of party. You prefer having a system which empowers Dem presidents to act in any way, and limits GOP presidents, and that type of system necessarily leads to dictatorship eventually.
It's just Trump. He's running for dictator, not president.
A third of the country will support any anti-democratic move he makes, all in the name of fighting corruption.
On the one hand, we have a corrupt politician with an army of people within the system (working for the government, working for media) who collude and lie to protect her (and even risk jail in some cases). Her supporters will make any excuse to justify her actions, and refuse to acknowledge here corruption.
On the other hand, we have a non-politician who is opposed by his own party leadership in addition to being opposed by the opposition party...both parties oppose him. Even his own "supporters" admit he is a baffoon.
Which is more likely to become a dictator? Which has the power base to make that play?
Obama has abused his authority, but you refuse to see it. And you don't fear that the most corrupt candidate to ever seek the office will abuse it. But, you fear that Trump will. Maybe the Constitution has been weakened enough. I don't know. I've certainly been complaining about it with past presidents. Maybe you are right. Either way, continued corruption just kicks the can down the road, and may make the medicine that this country needs to take more difficult to swallow. Dictatorship is probably coming in the next 50-100 years, unless drastic action is taken. I think the time to reform is now, not in 20 years. It becomes harder every election.
Sure, lots of drooling hicks at Trump rallies do. Lock her up! But no serious person does.
Many serious, professional observers of politics worry about Trump. One is below, from the Brookings Institute.
"There is, in fact, only one way to tyrant-proof the American presidency: Don't elect tyrants to it."

The best way to prevent tyrants is to have a strong Constitution.
I suppose I can understand your fear, since your side has been undermining the constitution...living breathing document which doesn't stop the president from acting.
With the Constitution (and strong federalism), a tyrant cannot be elected.
Without the Constitution (and without federalism), you need to make sure you win every election.
I see why you are worried. That is pure partisanship, though. You are fine if you win; you are not fine if your side does not win. That is the defining characteristic of a banana republic. That is what we are becoming. The way to fix it is to reform, and restore the constitution. The strategy of "electing the right people" will always fail over time. Flip a coin 50 times, and it will turn up tails at least once. Only a systemic block can stop tyrants.
You might see that Trump is not normal candidate. This is not a normal election.
All attempts to make both sides sound equivalent are fundamentally dishonest. Or just dumb. Or both.
Your own posts show your partisanship. When you defend Soros, you are ridiculing others for acting the same way you act with regard to Trump.
How exactly do you think Trump's dictatorship will come about? (This should be interesting.)

And not a day after we have several Democrats being fired after being video taped explaining how they steal elections.
Although the D's who are still complaining about 2000 and 2004 being stolen have little room to complain.
She will soon be your queen.
In fairness, Trump's best performance to date.
Wallace is a smack, but doing a great job.

But stranger things have happened...
...by the media, and it will become harder for her to govern.

The election will come down to that basic fact.
