He asked the Afghan president to lie about this army's ability to hold off the Taliban (Reuters released phone call transcript out today)...and then yesterday he told the American people what he asked the Afghan president to lie about.
Sounds like an impeachable offense, right?

it comes as no surprise that you'd see the phone call in that light (i.e. underhanded lying, etc.),
but, here's my take after reading the article and the Reuter's excerpt from the call...as well as the overall big-picture context of what was going on at the time...

Nowhere in the USA Today or Reuter's article did I detect any attempt by Biden to ask Ghani to "lie" about anything...he did, however, prod him to do all he could to make the Afghan military stand and fight, thus enabling the U.S. and others to join in with air support.
But that's just one person's opinion.
BTW, Biden did get over 120,000 Afghanis out...that's 120,000 more than Trump cared to see rescued.

"...this whole call was about spurring Ghani to exert pressure on his military to come up with a believable plan of action that conveys a "Perception that is going to change...how...our allies and folks in the States (i.e. National Security Advisors) and other places think you're doing"...the AUDIENCE is National Security Advisors...NOT the general public...but of course, to a Trump supporter, if you're not focused on ratings, then what the heck are you thinking?
