Speaking at the CIA, standing in front of all those stars, the President sought affirmation from the attendees that his inauguration crowd was huge, that the press is bad, that his speech was really good and that his face was on Time magazine's cover more than anyone else in history.
His press secretary then goes in front of the TV cameras, puts on his best Baghdad Bob face and says the photos of the inauguration crowds are not accurate and then doesn't take any questions.
This is what you voted for. This is what you get. The election is over. Time to get behind the President.
Keep going Don. Stay on message. I can't wait to see what tomorrow will bring. Entertain me.

Does Don get examined?
That sounds like TV gold.
You're gonna love it. It's gonna be so fantastic that you won't believe it. Just wait. It'll be on the cover of Time for weeks.

I'm sure that intelligence professionals appreciated it. Just like they appreciated how he brought an entourage to clap and whoop it up.
He said he was inundated with texts from CIA officers from around the globe and that they are appalled that was held in front of that wall.
I personally do not believe President Trump, himself, will be linked to the hacking.
No upside to Russia to hook the target, but campaign was involved.
It will still taint or destroy his administration.
I understand the argument about Russia hacking and your concerns (hopes?) in that regard. But your complete passing over of the proven corruption of the MSM with direct connections to the Dem party and the proven fixing of the primary by Hillary - you haven't said a word about those issues.
I know that you feel that you have had a big day, but you can't go through life this ignorant, can you?
The truthfulness of Leon Panetta's email is de mimimus, when weighed against the fact that Russia, deliberately, and with Putin's blessing, infiltrated our election process, through cyber hacking, with the intent to stack the deck in favor of a candidate whom they may or may not have leverage over.
There is still a question whether the Trump campaign acted in collusion.
That term implies manipulation of voting machines, access, etc.. Do you mean instead that they sought to influence voter opinion by selectively releasing truthful information on one candidate, but not another?
We live in a world of perception.
It is much less a story if the other candidate wins, meaning that the Russians committed cyber warfare against us, but the Americans rejected their sabatoge.
But, our story is that Russians pulled it off. Hence, it becomes irrelevant whether or not Trump would have prevailed anyway. We'll never know.
So, it taints President Trump's legitimacy as the true and rightful winner. We don't want tainted elections, whether or not the taint is real or just perception.
We want clean elections, so the victor can govern, without lingering controversy.
Trump is the victim of Russia's cyber warfare, not Hillary, not the Democrats.

anonymous heros who gave their life for the country.
Sigh. It's all about him.
He has been on the cover 10 times. Nixon: 55.
I have friends who work at the CIA, and for them that wall is sacred ground.

The President violated every political convention and won, as the outsider.
He is bound to no one, certainly not the GOP, but he owns Congress.
He could be the first apolitical President, and do whatever he believes, will fix America, looking out for Joe Citizen. He ran and won on that.
But, he's obsessed with the media, his public perception, crowd support, who is attacking him, etc.
All he had to do after the election, was quietly take the high road, appoint a few Dems on the cabinet, and today, just tweet "Women, thank you for marching today. We hear you loud 'n clear. Let's work together."
But, instead of quelling the division, he keeps feeding it, No upside.
Just govern as the apolitical person that you really are -- socially liberal, but pro business, and anti government bureaucracy.
He simply cannot get out of his own way.

his rising. Trump simply took advantage of media's obsession with him. I think even media began to admit it when it's become clear that Trump was unstoppable during the GOP primary.
I certainly understand what you may want to say, OK, but Trump is president now, not a candidate anymore. He should take a first step to withdraw his fight with media. But this fighting media has become part of his winning formula. Why will he give up? He thinks it is still working for him. Of course he won't give up the fight before media give up the fight.
I'll spot you as far as the campaign goes, that a chunk (< 40%) of the population, liked that Trump dissed the mainstream media.
But, now it is the entire nation, the popular majority who voted against him.
The math has changed.
He is clearly rejecting the media. Completely agsinst his interests at thus point.
to vote next election?
If everything remain same and election day is today, I see he still beats Hillary. Even you admit one day before election that FBI thing didn't sway people's vote.
The math has changed in that he must now sell to a bigger audience, to the nation, vs selling to enough citizens to elect him.
that 3 million more popular votes won by Hillary. These 3 million popular votes are really tiny in our population, so tiny that it can be buried by our EC system. Otherwise, say popular votes difference is 10 millions, this number by no means can be cancelled out by our EC system. Basically our country is evenly divided.
Another point is you have to see our country as a structure on which our system is built on. (I am not against your view on popular vote, which is one angle). The foundation of this structure is county. This is map of election. Trump won 2400 counties and Hillary won 400 counties in this country. Which means when you visit one county in this country, nearly 85% chance you are in a county that voted for Trump.
He has always been this way and won't change.
He is one of the most manically egotistical and thin skinned persons on the planet. He is all about payback for slights and rewards for support. It's a very bad mix for this office.
