Then he deleted it.
The guy seems determined to destroy the republic.
But, all the zygotes are safe, right? Oh, wait.
EDIT: He put it back up. It is no longer deleted. And technically he wrote "enemy of the American People," capitalizing the noun there for no reason...just as they do it in German. Ein Volk, ein Reich, ein Fuehrer.

But what the president says is de facto national policy, whether he tweets it or otherwise.

Independent Press and Media. Humpty's plan is first to discredit the press and then the judiciary
is happening because they have been unfairly working in your political favor for so long. you would have to walk in a conservatives shoes to understand the other side of this discussion. If the news agencies weren't trying to elect a specific candidate, and to bring him down after he won anyways, we wouldn't be having this discussion.
Here's to a future media that is independent and reports facts without bias.
Can you name a truly positive piece that CNN has done on Trump in the past several months? Do you really think that there hasn't been one good thing that he has done that could have been reported as such (Trump himself pointed ou that even when a really good thing happened (like the Carrier announcement), the media spun it in as negative a way as they could.
i suspect that your definition of an independent media is just going back to the bias that helped you.
we haven't had an independent press in a hell of a long time. DT wants to restore that and a lot of other things. I hate to burst your bubble--ok wait, I love to burst your bubble, but there is a new sheriff in town and there will be changes.

Independent and free press? 90% of them are hacks for the left.

Really respect Shep Smith at Fox. His job is prolly literally on the line over it given their audience, but he has the courage of his convictions.
The free press and the judiciary are foremost among them.
I guess Trump supporters think it is a coincidence that he is going after both. Or they don't care.
Viva El Jefe.

It's a weakness.
There was a Woody Allen movie where he complains about his mother-in-law's "Nazi recipes," like "chicken Himmler."
Himmler is SO much funnier than Hitler. Not sure why.
At some point all of their interests in the First Amendment become paramount.
Can also for the first time really appreciate why it's numero uno of the amendments.
This week alone, I subscribed to the NYT, WaPo, and the WSJ. I figure I owe it to them for standing up for folks like me who have no clout beyond our vote.
He's taking them on first like Vladdy did.
You should read this book on Putie that conor recommended. Scary shit.

"Enemy of the people" is straight-ahead Bolshevism.
I always thought that one of the reasons this would never happen here is because the American people wouldn't let it. But we see partisans lining up behind this guy, willing to overlook everything as long as he is advancing their tribe's interests. Sometimes.
Hitler used to say that you don't win elections by getting smart people to vote for you. Trump is not Hitler....but the point stands.

with a new republic--similar to the one we had before--before you were born.
