The Dems claim they are willing to address the problems with "compromise" by which they mean they want Repubs to capitulate to their every demand.
D's have big risk in that as it's their law.

And it would take very strong leadership from the president to forge a bi-partisan fix, not sure he's capable of that either. Nor would the Dems be likely to allow this president a political "victory".
So for the foreseeable future, we're stuck, IMO.
