This really is the most expansive set of government programs since FDR.
And their margins in Congress are razor thin.
It's not clear they have mandate for such a radical transformation of the country.
Why do they feel compelled to force this thru?

The Dems can ram thru anything they can all agree on and the Republicans can do squat about it.
"Conservative" Dems like Sinema and Manchin oppose the $3.5t boondoggle but support the infrastructure bill.
All Republicans are opposed to the boondoggle.
So in my view it all depends on whether AOC and Manchin can work out their issues. I generally think that some sausage will be made. There is simply too much pie to cut up for them to nuke a deal over some additional crumbs they could have had.
They know the mid terms will reverse the Congressional majorities.
They want it all and they want it now!
infrastructure package, around 1.5 trillion. Money wasted in my opinion, but since the HOR R’s won’t help pass infrastructure, this is the likely outcome.
