interrupting a peaceful protest.
Duly elected city council officials voted to relocate statute and rename park.
thus drawing the anarchists and communists into the fight they all were looking for.
into the violence.
Plus, they did it to cause this, not over any legitimate protest over the statue.

Byrd was a lying Klan slimeball who claimed to have renounced his racism after he took off his hood.
He claimed to have quit the KKK in 1942.
But in 1945 Republicans in West Virginia discovered a letter Sen. Byrd had written to the Imperial Wizard of the KKK three years after he says he abandoned the group. He wrote: "The Klan is needed today as never before and I am anxious to see its rebirth here in West Virginia" and "in every state in the Union."
Also Byrd said in the Dec. 11, 1945, letter -- which would not become public for 42 more years with the publication of a book on blacks in the military during World War II by author Graham Smith -- that he would never fight in the armed forces "with a Negro by my side." Byrd added that, "Rather I should die a thousand times, and see old Glory trampled in the dirt never to rise again, than to see this beloved land of ours become degraded by race mongrels."
In 1964 he led the 60 day filibuster of the Civil Rights Act and talked on the floor for 14 1/2 hours.
In 2001 when asked by Fox News Sunday morning talk show host Tony Snow about the state of race relations in America. Sen. Byrd warned: "There are white niggers. I've seen a lot of white niggers in my time. I'm going to use that word.
He also opposed the nominations of the Supreme Court's two black justices, liberal Thurgood Marshall and conservative Clarence Thomas. In fact, the ex-Klansman had the gall to accuse Justice Thomas of "injecting racism" into the Senate hearings.
The guy was always a straight out racist and his fake apologies afterward ring hollow.

No one is erasing history.
Communities are, however, choosing what aspects of history they celebrate and commemorate.
statutes remind us of our history and destroying them helps erase our memory of it.

Wow. Who knew?
Good video though.
out. Anymore though it's controversial unless you also call out the lefty nuts. Good grief.
I get why there are white supremacists. Economic dislocation adds to a national tradition of racism and desire for purity, and the "lost cause" myth is still strong in some quarters. I get it.
But Nazis? "Blood and soil"? Swastikas? Where the hell did these kooks come from?
We want everything for free or we will burn down your city!!
The ranks of the White Nationalists who marched in Charlottesville, are weak, vulnerable, low intelligence, dysfunctional, paranoid, obsessive, depressed individuals, who find a twisted calling and a brotherhood to vent all the wrongs done to them or their family.
Weapons and the 2nd Amendment gives them authority and legitimacy. They get hooked over the Internet. And for the first time in their lives, they get positive feedback from their new club members. And now, they feel that a US President has their back.
None of them would last 48 hours in a US military combat unit. Like Trump, they are blowhards. They are pussies. If they brought their act to Detroit, or Cleveland, or Philadelphia, their bodies would never be seen again.

I hope you realize BLM and Antifa can be described in much the same manner.....except they were encouraged by the previous president.
you guys are insane equating these groups.

The broader BLM movement (not the violent fringe, who we can all agree is full of a-holes) seeks racial equality.
The Nazis seek racial supremacy.
Like the segregationists of the 1950s, you see no difference.
If you dont think a significant portion of these two groups hates white people you are smoking some funny stuff
Both groups are fucked up.....I agree the white nationalists are completely whacked....but a significant portion of the ALT-left is equally fucked up
If you think they are pacifists you are messed up
Smart guy like you should be able to see that...
for white people
Trump takes side of NAZIs!!!!
The group was started in the fifties, and has more or less been around even as an organized political party since then. I do not understand the ideology either. But, in a country of 315 million, you are going to have some crazies. I really hate the media exhortations that this is some significant group gaining members like wildfire. Hell, Charlotte was probably half their numbers, and the more names that come out, it is clear that most of them had to come from of state.
Baron equates white supremacists and people standing up to them as "both sides."
Both sides were violent.

They were not covered in the video (wonder why), but they showed up armed, instigated violence, and have been a small but ideological anarchist group that tries to silence anyone to the right of Robespierre. They were the ones that rioted in Berkeley and beat that Trump supporter almost to death.

Violence on part of the whites was bad....but it was bad on both sides! Back then, the NAACP and the KKK were essentially equivalent, in the eyes of segregationists. Fringe groups, violent. Bad stuff was happening, but it was the fault of both sides.
It's the same stuff now.
In the south, it's familiar.

There are a very large number of forgotten, middle and lower class white Americans who have reached their limit wrt having their way of life changed and often destroyed by the continual push of the Left. You choos to focus on the small number of fringe kooks, and you lump them all together.
You and your side refuse to acknowledge their concerns, and you also fail to see the very obvious, equally bad kooks on your own side.
A democracy demands sacrifice and compromise by evrerybody to work. But the Left is SO selfish, that it refuses to do any of this. It's so bad that you guys on the Left. (MSM, especially) are attempting to stage your own coup because you just can't handle a defeat anymore.
The Left has been pondering how they will solve their problem wrt "getting back the blue collar worker" for months. They seem to now think that this event will instantly fix this problem. They paint everyone in the light of this one person (even the other neo nazi's didn't do this - just one guy), and then they expect that the White Right will fall right back into submission like it has been for the past 30 years.
Well, that isn't going to happen.
You should also look at the "Your rules now" phenomenon that is occurring. More and more, the Right is starting to behave like the left. They are starting to push back . They are starting to be willing to protest and "rally" and probably soon riot in the streets like the Left has been doing.
We are headed toward a great split if both sides can't dial it back.
Are we capable of that?
When the best two candidates this country can come up with are Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump....when these groups can run rampant on our city streets...and I mean both groups.....
Time to retire to the Caribbean and get away from this shithole.......
I am sick and tired of having some of this shit forced down our throats.....a very small minority of people are turning this country into a hellhole

I suppose the KKK and Nazis would never have thought of doing stuff like this without BLM. Makes good sense.
For the twentieth time: This is not about losing an election. You'll note NOTHING like this happened in 2000, when a much closer election was won. President Bush did his best to unite the country...you could certainly disagree with Bush (as I often did), but he was a decent man.
The country is now being run by a man whose first instincts were to sympathize with white supremacists. You voted for him. This is your fault as much as anyone's, and you are having a hard time with it.
As usual you wont be able to...
