That article was written this past July just before the Delta variant surged here...the numbers have
changed upward for serious illness and to some degree, deaths...nonetheless, the CDC's Advisory Panel voted unanimously in favor of vaccinating kids 5 yrs and up...based on the risks of not being vaccinated vs. getting vaccinated...now if you have a case as to why they should rescind that recommendation, be sure to send them an email with all your backup data ;-).
About the CDC...
This past spring, they said vaccinated individuals did not need to wear masks anywhere, including crowded bars, restaurants, and indoor arenas...except...for airports and airplanes, where the ventilation is far superior.
Now think about that, why is that? Obviously, they couldn't contradict Biden's mask mandate for such areas. So yes, the CDC cannot be taken seriously as it is a political outfit.
COVID-19 has changed over time (e.g. Delta variant) and the CDC adapts to new the new data that

has committed some sort of ethical error, or perhaps even criminal, related to some product he had an interest in...not sure. That's a serious accusation which I believe he needs to justify...therefore the request for documentation.

Why is everything "Binary" to you?...the vaccines are 'less' effective against Delta's transmission,
not 'ineffective'...instead of being 95% effective at stopping infection (i.e. the "Wild Type" original version of COVID-19) the vaccines are now 50-95% effective...that's not "Zero"...plus they are exceptionally effective in keeping people out of ICUs and morgues.
