Did you even bother to read the new Georgia voting law or are you just against it because voters aren't getting their share of the bottled water? I bet you never read it. I bet Delta didn't either. Nor Coca Cola. Nor Biden. Nor any of the other half dozen perpetual complainers around here. Turn off Rachael Maddow. It will set you free.

Who knew?
Which party do reckon more klan members vote for in each election, the R’s or the D’s?

You embrace your party and all its glorious history. Don't you whitewash what we all know is true. There is way too much going on with that from your side already. Now, go read the new voting law and come back and tell us what you don't like. Until you all read it, you have no say in the matter.
you're still free to argue that the voting restrictions are not what they appear to be.

Of shit that mirror each other
Thereby punishing residents and employees of the city and ball club. The door swings both ways here Connor. If we're going to be outraged let's be outraged by it all. Otherwise it just makes these arguments seem hollow and partisan and no one will be swayed to do the right thing. Or even worse...gasp....compromise!
Have a good weekend CL. The league is back!
Did you ever sit back and wonder why the left says all these new restrictions target blacks?
- id required to vote
- id required to get a mail in ballot - but they did away with signature matching
- no water etc within 150 feet of a polling location
- drop boxes under 24 hour surveillance
How are any of these measures racist? In thinking that they are you are simply perpetuating the soft bigotry of low expectations. Can black people not get an ID? Can they not think for themselves? How are any of these measures in the least bit racist if you subscribe to the notion that all men are created equal? Are some less than equal? less capable of making decisions for themselves and living every day life? It seems to me that if you are on the left, the answer is yes, but they wont ever talk about why they think voter id is racist.
It is a joke. Show me one person who goes through life without an ID - you cant function with out an ID. The only reason to keep IDs out of elections is to allow for the possibility of fraudulent activity.
The left constantly pushes the idea of victimhood and this is just another avenue for that.
The attached lawsuit filed this week outlines why the new Georgia law is challenged.
The racism (regularly portrayed on this Board) starts with the falsehood that voter fraud occurs in precincts populated by minorities. Stated differently, the racist assumes that heavy turnout is presumptively laden with fraudulent minority votes, even in the absence of any evidence (as numerous courts highlighted in the post November 2020 election litigation).
Ironically, Trump did better in minority urban precincts in 2020 vs 2016, but worse in the suburban precincts, which was the tipping point in favor of Biden. Senator Pat Toomey (R) addressed this very point on the Senate floor on January 6th, explaining why Biden’s victory in Pennsylvania was trustworthy and legitimate.
So, it is not that the Georgia law is “racist.” Rather, the racism starts with the presumption that Georgia’s voting scheme needs to be fixed in the first place.
There is a reason why Georgia and other GOP dominated legislatures took immediate steps to swiftly change the voting process. They lost twice, in November and in the January runoffs. The law seeks to make sure they can fix the results in a close race.
In this thread below in my reply to Emerson Lake & Palmer, I outlined key provisions in SB 202 that create voting obstacles and provide the GOP with a competitive advantage and nuclear option to overturn a bad result for the GOP.
Voter ID cards are NOT designed to ensure voter integrity, but to create obstacles and trip wires that disproportionately impact minorities. Fact.
Voting ought not be difficult. It should be user friendly. America has decades of experience in ensuring that ballots are legitimate.
2020 was one of America’s finest moments in holding a free and fair election amidst a pandemic. The Trump Administration (Krebs) deserves credit for pulling it off. Trump lost the election because substantially more Americans rejected his leadership and favored Biden and the Democrats.

registration requirements for each state...
https://www.vote.org/voter-id-laws/
Our 2020 election outcomes (President, Senate, House, Governor, Lt. Governor, State Senate, State House, Secretary of State, Mayor, Judges, Sheriff, Bond Measures, etc., etc.) were unaffected by fraud...therefore, no need for "enhancements".

It is not that they have low expectations. They believe blacks are incapable of doing something that every thinking individual can do. Only clinical morons can't get IDs. The Left thinks blacks are, as a group, clinical morons, who cannot do basic things without the help of government. I don't know what is soft about that. That is hard bigotry as far as I am concerned.

In the 2020 federal elections the one constant has always been available about Voter Fraud in the State of Georgia (as an example)
the only person to have been known to attempt and commit voter fraud was, Trump.
So, before you get on your high horse again - please ask yourself about the "possibility of fraudulent activity" and why it's a constant refrain
with Republicans when there is scant to no proof it actually happens - and when it is found, it is found to be more of an accident or it's a
republican politician who has committed the fraud. And ask yourself this, why all the lies about it - what's the cover up?
why does it matter whether or not it is found or not? Why have a process that is open to fraudulent activity? Why not have a secure process that ensures only eligible citizens can vote?
You avoided the question on how requiring ID is racist....

The lawsuits that were dismissed were dismissed for lack of standing (or some such language) which is a procedural dismissal not for lack of evidence?
Frank, if you would be so kind to explain these matters. Or Connor. As another attorney you might be so inclined.
Or if you both prefer not to wade into these waters again, I understand that too :-)!
Happy Easter weekend gentlemen!
First, why do you want to spend resources fix a non existent problem when we know statistically the impact is to depress the vote of the poorer folk?
Second, the cases were disposed of for a variety of reasons. The overwhelming theme was that the claims were speculative and not supported by evidence of fraud.
Enjoy your Easter.
by itself, it is discrimination.
lets take the water and food portion of the law - If you are on a voting line for several hours and someone brings along some water or some food
because of the wait why would anyone care about that? Why make a law for that? -
Now let's look at why the lines are so long they create waiting times of hours upon hours (11 hours in some places). It's because there are not enough
precincts and polling places open for that population they are set for. In fact, the amount of polling places have been cut in places like Georgia where
the population is predominantly black or Hispanic. Hence the long lines at polling places. So why does it matter if someone brings along a little drink
or food? Because it's a deterrent to those who might want to stay in line to vote. That's how it's racist -
In a study to find out what the lines were like for certain groups of people - Whites in predominantly white neighborhoods stood in line on an average less
than 1/2 hour - not so in black or poor neighborhoods.
There's so much more to this that you and your kin here are ignoring.
Should people have ID? In the world of today, of course they should - Just a note, your signature is your ID.
Your simpleton view of it all seems so crass in a nation where there are greater dynamics to issues than you're willing to accept.
But this is not unexpected as your brethren here have been base enough to carry that torch for decades.
it is done right and legally.
Again, thanks.
You still have not answered - how is requiring an ID racist?

Like I said - scant.
But we do know one person for sure who tried to overturn the entire election - Donald J. Trump, Douchebag extraordinaire!
In order to affect an election it would take millions of votes fraudulent votes and an ability to coordinate it on a mass scale to elect someone in a federal election.
You're searching for an issue and cannot find one therefore the rage machine continues.

which designates the case type not an actual conviction - the link states details of what they're being noted for. We're not sure where the info comes from
but you should note - these are stats by HF from years and years of research to find consequential voter fraud which by the nature having the ability to see them
on a few pages tells us - the variety of voter fraud across the nation is, inconsequential to the results.
Most important to note -
there is no widespread voter fraud - it's something invented for scare tactics.
Your rage is noted

The Heritage Foundation proved you wrong. It is run by a very qualified African American female.
To suggest you are not wrong is therefore racist and sexist by your standards.
BTW , I never suggested that voter fraud rose to the level of determining the election. But to suggest it did not exist at all is absurd.
You look foolish when you try to lump us all into your neat little "cult" box,

if Delta, Coca Cola, MLB, Biden, the Atlanta black business "leaders", Sharpton, Abrams, and a few around here have actually read the Georgia voting law in its entirety? I'm going to take a wild guess and say none of these fine folk have read it at all. Rather, they depend on Morning Joe, WAPO, and NYT to run the narrative for them. It's interesting that the very existence of the left is to create unhappiness, anger, chaos, and sometimes violence, mayhem, and murder. Look at their handy work over the last few years. Lockdowns, cancel culture, one way "free speech", statues, bathrooms, voting, blm, antifa, no prosecutions, uninformed kneelers, NBA, politicizing government agencies, Boy Scouts, religion, military, riots, destruction, open borders, academics, abortion, sports team nicknames. This is what the left has brought to the table. What positive vibes have they brought anyone? What have they actually built instead of destroyed? What is going on in their empty lives to create ways of chaos every damn day? That's the real story.
Voters will now have less time to request absentee ballots.
There are strict new ID requirements for absentee ballots.
It’s now illegal for election officials to mail out absentee ballot applications to all voters.
Drop boxes still exist … but barely.
Mobile voting centers (think an R.V. where you can vote) are essentially banned.
Early voting is expanded in a lot of small counties, but probably not in more populous ones.
Offering food or water to voters waiting in line now risks misdemeanor charges.
If you go to the wrong polling place, it will be (even) harder to vote.
If election problems arise, a common occurrence, it is now more difficult to extend voting hours.
With a mix of changes to vote-counting, high-turnout elections will probably mean a long wait for results.
Election officials can no longer accept third-party funding (a measure that nods to right-wing conspiracy theories).
With an eye toward voter fraud, the state attorney general will manage an election hotline.
The Republican-controlled legislature has more control over the State Election Board.
The secretary of state is removed as a voting member of the State Election Board.
The G.O.P.-led legislature is empowered to suspend county election officials.
Runoff elections will happen faster — and could become harder to manage.
Pathetic! You’d have to be pretty darn stupid to get sucked in that far to be able to amass that depth of rhetoric in one post.
It cannot be stated enough
