Apologies for a new thread - the news was bmailed to me this morning as a "maybe," due to the original post on the topic not being viewable for me.
I looked into obituaries, and this is absolutely our Chris Foley who has passed. Awful news... this guy cared for patients of all ages and helped thousands of people live healthier, stronger lives. Loved his country, loved Notre Dame, and I can tell you that our virtual community has meant a lot to him over the last couple of decades... even those he had silly online "battles" with.
Rest in peace, crazy doc. It won't be the same without you.
(Kyle/Frank/Mark - I hope it's okay that I used his real name. Let me know if I need to edit.)

And I know he was a big family man. Prayer to his family and may God rest his soul.

I must confess, I'm responsible for him leaving the board ~10 years ago. I called him and Chris drama queens, or something to that effect, when they were getting into it, as they sometimes would. Afterward, KS reached out to me and asked to have his account deleted. I was taken aback. We'd had private convos about the board being "theater" and how he didn't take any of it too personally. I never removed his account, but he never logged in again after that exchange. I've occasionally thought about it over the years, and regret running off a long time poster. He had been around since the early days.
RIP, KS
Kyle - you had to do your job. I never had a problem with him personally, but he used to go off on fans of other teams posting with regularity even worse than frequent posters. He may not have been a bad guy, but rules are rules.

Christ represents the greatest revolution in the history of the species so far... the celebration of empathy for every other human being.
matter. True believer here. I have always pondered about how we are truly unique. That’s not an accident I believe.
Fr. Lewers introduced me to the works of Teilhard de Chardin and I began to see evolution itself from a spiritual perspective.
Christ represents a quantum leap in the evolution of human consciousness.
Bill himself, albeit a member of the cloth, had a very "evolved" attitude about Catholicism.

I understand he was expanding on Teilhard de Chardin's teachings (although I never read de Chardin).
