Have you or would you cut people out of your life for not being vaccinated?
If you were invited to a party of dinner at someone’s house and you were unaware of their vaccine status, would you ask and not show up if they didn’t take the jab?
Me, I don’t care. I had friends over Saturday night. They are vaxxed and we aren’t. Didn’t make a difference and it was a great time.

The answer to my question (i.e. there is NO benefit) makes yours totally unnecessary...everyone gets
vaccinated and we don't have to worry about not associating with others...EVERYBODY WINS!...except for those who are completely "Self-Absorbed" and couldn't care less about those around them...it's amazing that hospitals still treat such folks...but they do...'cause they care.

As a state, we are as open as we ever been and the mandate has been shoved up Joe’s ass by our Governor (and others). I’m sorry about your personal experience but I am going to continue to live how I wish.
We have been lied to about this from day 1 and deaths have been over exaggerated for political purposes. I am fully aware the virus exists and take precautions for all around me. It’s just that precaution doesn’t include the vaccine. There is also no guarantee that I won’t get it after being vaccinated. The hospitalization rate isn’t all that much different.
After a year you'd think people understand this is cyclical.
I too live in FL and right now the spots where Covid is high is up north. Back in the summer when Covid was feasting on Floridan's like it was no one's business people were getting vaxxed left and right. I knew a mid 30 year old's in great shape succumb to Covid. However the minute the numbers retreat the plague rats start talking that stupidity again.

The risk that plague rats pose is not to the vaxxed people, but to society. Mask mandates and shut-downs continue, and new variants will emerge. And those - like our family friend - who have an auto-immune disorder and cannot be vaxxed will be at risk as long as the plague is with us.

No, I would not, for the same reason I oppose these mandates.
I have had COVID and been vaccinated. I'm protected. And importantly, the information shows that the vaccinated can catch and spread this just like the unvaccinated, so their status doesn't make them any more or less likely to be spreaders.
Accordingly, I don't make social decisions based on that. If people want to allow health insurance companies to crank up premiums on those not vaccinated, have at it. But for companies to require it is wrong.
