Or is he just looking for a reduced sentence?
Celtics a ton at home
now
Lakers a ton at home

If the fix was in favoring the Lakers, you would not have seen that disparity in game two.
Donaghy said the league encouraged refs to fix games to ensure a series went seven games, thereby maximizing revenue. The league made sure Boston held serve at home, and now LA will miraculously do the same.

NBA referees, influenced by league officials, rigged a 2002 playoff series to force it to a revenue-boosting seven games, a former referee at the center of a gambling sandal alleged Tuesday ... In one of several allegations of corrupt refereeing, Donaghy said he learned in May 2002 that two referees known as "company men" were working a series in which "Team 5" was leading 3-2. In the sixth game, he alleged the referees called "made-up fouls on Team 5 to give additional free throw opportunities for Team 6."
The thing is, only one series went seven games that year: Lakers-Kings. And it plays out EXACTLY according to Donaghy's allegations. Kings were up 3-2 in the series. Lakers won Game 6 106-102 after shooting 27 free throws in the final quarter and scoring 16 of their last 18 points at the charity stripe. At the time Ralph Nader and a sports watchdog group called the League of Fans actually wrote Stern a letter complaining of the Game 6 officiating.

Donaghy also alleges manipulation during a 2005 playoff series.
"Team 3 lost the first two games in the series and Team 3's owner complained to NBA officials," Donaghy alleged. "Team 3's owner alleged that referees were letting a Team 4 player get away with illegal screens. NBA Executive Y told Referee Supervisor Z that the referees for that game were to enforce the screening rules strictly against that Team 4 player. ...
"The referees followed the league's instructions and Team 3 came back from behind to win the series. The NBA benefited from this because it prolonged the series, resulting in more tickets sold and more televised games."
for publicly stating that an NBA official gave him the heads up that they were planning on officiating Yao Ming differently. The series went seven games as the Mavs came back from an 0-2 hole to win the series.
I don't remember the Mavs-Rockets series too well, however the Kings Lakers series was a travesty. I remember getting physically ill watching that game, because we always joked that games were fixed or made NBA-WWF comparisons, but there it was right before our eyes; proof. After that series, I have never viewed the NBA the same it has gone from #1 to probably #6 or #7.

....and have you noticed that they forced their offense into the paint more?
Ya see, there's a correlation.
Kobe's full of shit. He's taken into the paint more in the first half of this game then he did throughout both games in Boston. He took threes and fade-aways in games one and two.
Just admit it.
and Kobe got handchecked all over the court in Boston with nary a call while Pierce was given any call for any kind of contact (most if being from him a la D. Wade in 2005).
Get over it dude.
Unlike you, I'm going to accept this loss and move on to the next game.
Pierce 'drew' 16 fouls in Boston compared to Kobe's 9. Don't start with this more aggressive BS either. The celtic defenders are allowed to handcheck at will. It must be pretty easy to get over it when you get a game handed to you. Just read Bill Simmons column on ESPN about the way most Bostoners were feeling going into game 3.
There isn't too much to take from this game other than we now know the Lakers are capable of beating the Celtics. They had been 0-4 so far this year, hopefully from an LA perspective there was a mental hurdle that was overcome tonight. But, Thursday is a must win as is Sunday, lots still to do for LA.
This game has way more of an "aggressive" argument than game two does.
Any decent player can get him in foul trouble, Vlade isn't the brightest character out there. If he ever guarded Kobe he'd never be on the court due to fouls. Hell he's barely on the court now.
I loved the third foul on him...he simply grabbed the ball simultaneously with Perkins and picks up a foul.

Of course tonight means nothing if they lose Thursday. If Pau and Lamar don't get this figured out, they have no chance.
The Celtics were very agressive in Game 2, not so much tongight. Have you noticed that the Celtics have settling for jumpers more this game, thus less free thows.
Actually, I just ran the numbers on Kobe in game one and two. One ESPN, I checked out the shot charts. Kobe took only two shots in the paint in game one, and a total of four in game two. I'd guess he's got at least that many tonight.
Again, I'm not saying that the refs didn't whistle a few calls in game two for the Lakers, but the idea that Lakers got robbed of 20 free throws is total bullshit.
