Talked to his dad this morning. He told me all his son told him was that the level of depression, especially with frosh, might be intolerable...masks..no friends...no one knows anyone...and the UNIVERSITY..............what me worry.
Roommates, competitive classes, pre-requisites you may hate, bullying upper classmates.
It's part of the learning process. Snowflakes are easily melted.
Go Irish.
Virus was a bad combination. We were really concerned about her for a little while. Thank god she was only 90 minutes away and could come home on the weekends. She had solid roommates who helped and that was the real key to it. I could not imagine how she would have been without them.
This year, softball is back and even 7am weights, 3 hour daily practices (when not playing), 4-6 games a week and a full class schedule is not a concern for her. Happiest we have seen her in 2 years. It also helps she is 2-1 on the year with 2 shutouts and carrying a 1.09 ERA. Now the Liberal minded school Pres just needs to parents in to see the games.
It’s been a tough year but at least they were able to keep things on campus instead of remote.
It has been a rotten year for students and especially Freshmen at universities.
