Give me a choice to support someone who supports my agenda who is also likeable, and I'll support that person.

Conor's article is about etiquette, after all.
Unless you are saying that you don't just tolerate Hillary because she was the best option available, but you really, really love her, and wish the country loved her as much as you do.

That’s what that article does.
Partisanship is a powerful drug.
Dems picked an issue they didn't care enough about handling when they could have handled it without interference from the GOP, and then used it as a partisan basis for shutting down the government. Pure partisanship.
If Conor wants to make a comment, I might read the linked article. I typically don't read articles that are linked without comment. I know that Trump is rude...which is why I don't pay attention to anything he says. I just pay attention to what he does. You guys need to attack what he does, not what he says, if you want to make any traction with the people who voted for him knowing that he was a rude son of a bitch. All of the whining and crying and "own your vote" BS just makes it easier to tolerate Trump by those who voted for him.
The Senate leaders presented a bipartisan agreement to him (after Trump said work it out and I will sign it), and then he went volcanic, and rejected the proposed agreement.
That. Is. What. Happened.

About how both sides were just listening to their bases. But no, you just blamed the Democrats.
The link is to an NYT editorial. It is just Trump’s words and actions. It would be hard for you to read.
Honest question. The GOP tried to fund the government. The Dems want to add an unrelated issue that they didn't think was important before, but for some reason is now. Why is it more important now than it was before?
I don't deny that the Right shows partisanship. The impeachment of Clinton was one such instance, and America is still suffering because of that debacle.
Regarding articles about the rudeness of Trump...I just don't see any reason to read them. I already know that he is that way. And yet, he pushes for policies that are good for the country. I'll just have to be happy with that.
He started all of this.

deadline. Otherwise, I would tend to agree with you as to it’s importance.
Not sure if you were paying attention here, Ned. Neither side is in the mood to compromise on immigration.
In fact a deal was cut. Six senators took it to Trump, two days after he pledged to sign whatever the senate brought to him at that reality TV bullshit meeting.
Then trump told them no. No people from shitholes. Remember, Ned?
The GOP is guilty of partisanship if they don't acquiesce to Left-partisan demands to make a neutral law biased to the Left?

You are trying to paint a picture that the D's are extortionists. Flat out BS.
The GOP has been bullying the D's with 51 votes.
60 requires real compromise, respect, and leadership from the White House. Your team is 0 for 3 right now.

You may also be very wrong about where and how blame is assigned here. This issue was resolved before Kelly and Miller got Trump to renege on a deal that everyone wants.
Seriously, you don't think the Dems demands on immigraton are unreasonable at this point?
If you think they are reasonable, I would be happy to listen to your explanation.

why would demos want to compromise? The reps know this and they don't want the demos to add to their base.
