Scooters
So do all of you who like to trash scooters like apples? Just so you all know, I have a 125cc scooter that gets over 90MPG. For those of you not smart enough to figure that out, my 3.1 gallon tank allows me over 290 miles on a single fill up. So chew on that a while as I am saving an assload of money in gas. Its easy to make fun of something when you don't understand it. As the gas prices continue to climb I'll think about all of you filling up your SUV or gas sucking vans at nearly $90 a pop, if not more, while I can fill up for $13 (Premium). How do you like those apples?

A scooter can be a real chick magnet...
...if guys would just wear those macho knee/elbow pads when they're riding them.
What about safety, convenience and practicalituy?
A Toyota Prius gets 48 mpg, fits the family, and will protect you better in the rain and in an accident. Much easier to drive a Prius on a long trip too. The 2009 Prius will get over 100mpg.
So why get a scooter?
You guys are all wrong. Hover scooter is the way to go.

i think he made a great decision...

2 weeks ago i bought a yamaha star (250cc) for the exact same reasons!!!
i'm getting 85 mpg and a fill up costs me $8.50 ($4.25 for premium, my ride only drinks the best juice). that gets me 170 miles (i have a 1/2 gallon reserve but never switch over)... my tank holds 2.5 gals total.... my drive to work is 44 miles round trip...
i'm so happy and it's a blast!!!
happy riding's to you!!! in 5 minutes i'll be on the road for a morning fun run...

i believe buying a bike is the better alternative to trading in what you have for a hybrid... this way i can run my car to the ground '99 300M... i own my car out right so there's no flip involved in my decision... i live in the chicago area and will be using the bike at every opportunity from apr-oct.... this includes honey do's to p/u misc items in town, etc.

For the record, I'm 100% serious. I've never met a man in my life who didn't like Dumb & Dumber (or Slap Shot). And I've rarely met a woman who liked Dumb & Dumber.
