Not the best movies that happen to be comedies. (I'll therefore leave Rushmore off my list.) Just the funniest damn movies.

1. Slap Shot
2. Animal House
3. Dumb & Dumber
4. Kingpin
5. South Park: Bigger, Longer, Uncut
6. Superbad
7. Borat
8. Airplane
9. Beavis & Butthead Do America
10. Monty Python & The Holy Grail
10. This is Spinal Tap (tie)

I'm probably forgetting some great ones. That was a quick run through. Honorable mention: "Grandma's Boy." Mostly because I watched it this weekend. Possibly the best line I've ever heard in a movie: Dude. You jizzed on my mom.

Great movie. I'm not the only one who thinks so. 71% critics approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Pretty high, when you consider how many people simply "don't get" B&B. Funny, funny movie. I miss B&B.

For me.

And I consider Royal Tennenbaum's inferior to Rushmore.

Rushmore is on my short list of favorite movies.

by leaving Caddyshack off your list. There isn't a backwards baseball cap wearin' frat boy alive who can't quote every Bill Murray line from that movie. I might give it the nod over Animal House.

Dr. Strangelove belongs on that list.

And nominated as the movie that gets more laughs that no one will admit to enjoying: Jackass: The Movie.

I did completely forget Caddyshack. Will have to think about whether it belongs on the list. Bill Murray obviously is great. Probably would bump one of the last two on my list for Caddyshack.

Stranglove is a great movie. I'd put it in the Rushmore category, though. Great movies that happen to be comedies. I don't think I'd put it on this list.

Good call on Jackass: The Movie. I spit soda up from laughing so hard at "Night Pandas."

M*A*S*H

The Naked Gun: Yes, I know much it was stolen from Zucker/Abrahams' own Police Squad.

Up In Smoke: Like Jackass, you may not want to admit to enjoying a Cheech and Chong movie in public, but this is a damn funny movie.
