The 1920's immigrants wanted to assimilate and become economically independent Americans. That's not true with those who are streaming across our borders today.

Heard this on the radio tonight regarding her sponsored legislation.
I'm actually for "controlled, high-flow borders." But we don't have that.

1. Abortion legalization was once conceived and used as a means to reduce the population of Black-Americans, therefore present-day abortion legalization advocates favor the eradication of Black-Americans.
2. State defiance of federal laws was once a tool for protecting Jim Crow laws and maintaining de jure segregation, therefore present-day disregard for federal immigration laws by some states is nothing more than an effort to return to de jure racial segregation.
On a separate note, at what level of population (overwhelmingly due to immigration) do you think the environmental effects outweigh the glorious benefits we all reap from mass immigration? Also, at what point does quality of life begin to decline compared to increased population?1 billion Americans? 2 billion Americans? 1 trillion Americans? Would it be a bad thing if we crowded 1 trillion people into the United States?
Blah, blah, blah...nothing, nothing and more nothing.

Eastern Europeans of the Catholic persuasion. So any of you Poles and Italians were the original infestation of criminal, illegals.
Sadly some of their descendants are doing this same thing to the current crop of migrants.
Xenophobia has a long, ugly history here.
Not happening anymore. We are in danger of becoming like Europe... a continent divided.

As a grandchild of German, Italian and Irish immigrants... I have affection for my heritage but I am fully assimilated. My guess is that those who immigrate legally today are assimilating and those who are here illegally less so.
been an issue here forever. Also, that many of us would not be here if there hadn’t been essentially open borders in the past. And some of the initial restrictions were directed against those of Southern or Eastern European ancestory. Back then the religion de jour to hate was Catholicism as they couldn’t assimilate and become “normal” Americans because of their loyalty to the “Whore of Rome”. They were portrayed as foreign and of strange customs out to take American jobs.
The playbook is pretty old.
swarthy Germans. Based on this pesky little fact, I wonder how soon Baron will be packing his bags for voluntary deportation?
