No civility in this country anymore.
I find it odd that a government employee can confront the DHS head at dinner, and not get fired. If I did that to an executive at my company, I would get fired.
and expression of those views. Non policymaking ones can’t be fired.
Balances rights of the citizenry versus operational needs of the govt.

He sets the tone...period. And as. Michael Avenatti has demonstrated, the only effective way to deal with Trump and his sick minions is by playing their game.
If the roles were reversed you’d be referring to the crowd as patriots and the subject as a snowflake. Too pathetic to even comment further.
BaronVonSnowflake...yep, just like I always suspected.
a result of their own pathology, not of trump's "tone". Neither you nor Peter Fonda would follow Trump if he behaved like Winston Churchill. You would do the same thing to any GOP president at this point.
As i think of it, you guys have denied the last 3 GOP president's legitimacy. In 2000, you wanted to selectively count only a few highly democratic Florida counties rather than the entire state in order to manufacture extra votes to change the result. The SCOTUS said, "no". Then in 2004, you flooded the election centers with Dem lawyers to file objections - agan to generate votes to change the results (fortunately, Kerry lost by too much). And of course, in 2016, you blame the Russians for 500k worth of obviously biased, poorly produced and executed internet ads which weren't even focused in battleground states.
Even the most absurd claim is not out of the realm of possibility for the Left in order to keep power.
As I said, I have no doubt that you will take this too far as usual, and the public will notice.
Nielsen is tone deaf to the 9th power. On a day when she could not answer where small children were being held, she is out dining at a Mexican restaurant.
Nevertheless, people should be respectful of one’s private lives and the friends or loved ones with them.
This story is not going to stop. Utter lack of transparency, denying access to the children, shuttling kids around the country under the cover of darkness, lying to airlines about who kids are, all sound like what happens in other countries.

time? Good for the pro lifers in my view. Part of the price if you kill babies or separate families.

Present day US citizens (you and I alike) tolerate governmental tyranny much more than they did. If present day Americans would stop to think about what the Founding Fathers fought against, and then about what Washington D.C. does to us that we accept on a day to day basis in the form of taxes, regulations, seizures and forced behaviors...present day Americans would think the Founding Fathers were fools for rebelling against such a benevolent power as the United Kingdom. Do you agree?
I'm not saying this as an argument for revolt (as some do). I'm just making an observation that the trigger for our Founding Fathers was surprisingly light. Maybe that was your point, and this behavior in the restaurant is justified. If you believe that, and if others believe that, then I fear for our country.
imposed on our ancestors.
