It turns out that "What have you got to lose?" was an effective pitch:
Per Rasmussen, "Today’s @realDonaldTrump approval ratings among black voters: 31% This day last year: 18%."
This follows the NAACP's own survey showing that 21% of African-Americans approve of Trump, which is up from 8% in 2016, and absolutely destroys Romney and Bush on this issue.
The lowest African-American employwment rate ever might have something to do with these numbers, as well as celebrities like Kanye encouraging African-Americans to think for themselves and not be beholden to the Democratic party.
If you think this polling is an outlier, then (i) point me to a recent poll that shows otherwise, and (ii) explain the corresponding surge among Hispanics for Trump. For example, Harvard/Harris, in a poll released exclusively to The Hill, had Trump gaining 10 points among Hispanics in June 2018.
I think we are witnessing a very important change in voter attitudes towards Trump, where minorities are more likely to vote for him. This would have a sea-change effect on how to predict the winner of states like Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Michigan, among others. Democrats take black and Hispanic votes for granted, but they should no more.

to vote for him."
I means he gained a few % points that reach far less than consequential.
The ground isn't shifting - there is no movement (as you predicted) just misinformation you're still willing to post as gospel.

“We have no information to suggest that it was a preplanned attack.”
Or this one?
“Our belief based on the information we had was that it was the video that caused the unrest in Cairo and the video that — and the unrest in Cairo that helped — that precipitated some of the unrest in Benghazi and elsewhere.”
Or this one?
"Based on the information that we had at the time and have to this day, we do not have evidence that it was premeditated.”
a couple of Benghazi statements you thought were erroneous but turned out to be all the information Carney had at the time.
BENGHAZI, BENGHAZI, BENGHAZI, BENGHAZI, BENGHAZI
Congress should have 8 or 9 more committees on HRC and her role in attacking the satellite US consulate

Some number would move to Trump just from being pissed that they were being played (again).
I wouldn't be shocked if there is a tape. But I think it's more likely that it is BS.

...African Americans don't care about the faults of Trump as long as he is helping them rather than holding them back.
(And maybe they remember that the Dems who are supposed to be unprejudices are no better, or support prejudiced policies that hurt them anyways).
