With the cameras rolling Trump told the Republicans and Democrats to come up with a bi-partisan bill on DACA and immigration reform. "I'll take the heat off both the Democrats and the Republicans. I'll sign any Immigration Bill Congress sends me. I'm not saying I want this or I want that. I will sign it."
And then they did and he didn't.

They cannot even pass legislation to allow the post office (which loses billions yearly) to stop Saturday delivery.
It does not matter the party - all they care about is having their pork funded. And it kind of worries me for the future of democracy, as people tend to look for answers when your existing government is incapable of doing anything (czarist Russia, Weimar Germany, etc). Eventually the Fed's printing press is going to have consequences.
