Predictable as the sun coming up tomorrow. Conservatives/Republicans/Fox News take Kavanaugh's side; liberals/Democrats/MSNBC take Ford's side.
A study I pointed to a few years ago had 500 participants, 1/2 Democrats and Republicans. Each person was shown two health plans, with half shown one purportedly from the Democrats and one from the Republicans, and the other half vice versa. Didn't matter the plan, didn't matter the party affiliation. 75% of everyone supported "their" party's plan and trashed the others.
People sure are a slave to their ideology, for the most part.
It's all an act intended to keep them in office. The best we can do is prioritize our policy preferences and hold our noses as we vote.

Only most Republican politicians fit that description.
These are indisputable facts.
As far as my political beliefs, they don’t comport with almost any politicians- I believe in upholding the Constitution and limiting Federal powers to those enumerated in the Constitution and Bill of Rights. Everything else is the responsibility of the states.

We might not like our guy, but we HATE the other side so much that it keeps us organized and motivated.
20% like Candidate 1 and vote that way.
Another 20% like Candidate 2 and vote that way.
The remaining 60% hate both Candidates 1 and 2, but hate one more than the other, so they vote for the least hated candidate.
After inauguration, we have a president with which only 20% of the country are "true believers" in that president.
I believe this is the case with Trump, for example. I could be wrong, of course. People do seem to show up at his rallies. But I know many people who voted for Trump who merely held their nose in the voting booth, and would never attend a rally....and I know no one who attended a rally. So, I tend to think that there are actually few "Trumpos" or whatever out there. And yet, people on this board act like everyone who voted for Trump is a true believer. It makes hating the other side a little easier, I admit.
It seems confirmation bias is far stronger than what we may already believe.
They are just frantic that we won't be able to kill babies anymore, and gays won't be able to seek out the government relationship endorsement, so they will say anything.
Maybe they do really believe what they are saying, hard as that is to comprehend.

You are worse off than I thought...very sad
There is strong bias on both sides
For you to think the Democrats look at facts is laughable...
