From the AP: "Analysts said the Republicans were harmed by Rachel Mitchell..." Apparently this "career prosecutor" whom you said/implied knew what she was doing didn't.
The crux of the matter and by far the most important testimony of the day was Ford's "100% certainty" that she ID'd Kavanaugh correctly. It was important to establish that many men, later exonerated, were convicted of sexual assault because the women in those cases were also "100% certain" that they had the right man, when in fact they did not.
She could have at least made this very powerful point, which was crucial. But for some reason, she didn't. Maybe "experts" aren't always correct in their actions or assessments.
At one point she called Ford a victim. She believed her.

analyzed and there are many unanswered questions about the “assault.” Was Kavanaugh a binge drinker who didnt get it under control until late college? I’m all for a deeper investigation as long as it’s not one sided, which is what it appeared the dems want. As it is, I don’t think a deeper investigation does anything but further smear the reputation of both people.
We learned that from the building department file:
"BREAKING: Palo Alto bldg permit records raise questions about Ford's testimony she completed an 'extensive remodel' of home in 2012 & that this was seminal event that led her down path to coming out against Kavanaugh b/c she needed to add an escape door. Permit was issued in 2008."

with alcohol and doing things we regret or having to be reminded of what occurred. I think we all recall hormones raging and wanting the slightest touch. Did he assault her? I don't think he did; there's just too many unknown facts and open denials about the night in question. I don't believe; however, he was the choir boy he's stated.
For Ford, perhaps she also was experimenting and in her mind saying it was Kavanaugh (an alpha male in the area) helped her justify what occurred. I had two girlfriends who wanted nothing more than to be my first (the second won, btw); maybe what started as something she wanted to brag about became more than she could mentally handle. Maybe she put herself in a bad position to raise her status among her friends. Hell, it could have been someone in college. As Sting said, you know how jealous bad girls get. Believe it or not, some sororities keep track of who's slept with the most fraternity presidents.
For those of you on here who believe men are just evil, be sure to ask your female friends or daughters how many "sluts" they knew in high school and college. I think you'll be surprised to hear some of their stories. Of course, I also suspect you'll be sitting there saying "I'm just glad you aren't/weren't like that."
