The mere fact that you disagree with a policy does not make it unpatriotic.
I have to explain that to junior high kids sometimes. And conservatives.

I have to explain this to college professors sometimes.
The Bill allows low and middle income families to have a better chance at success, and parents to be able to participate in the workplace...and, if the tax recovery efforts pan out, it will deliver a net surplus. But if you belong to a party that says NO to everything and delivers nothing for low and middle incomers, then none of that really matters.
Too bad the BBB Bill didn't have a "sweetener" in it...like an even bigger tax break for the top 0.1% of Americans who just might...let a little of it 'trickle down' to those families.

What other subversive American hating bullshit is tucked away amongst all the niceties?
Face it. You hate this country,
the first time this country has had two people disagree on such matters...take a moment to collect yourself and let's talk about what's in the bill if you'd like and why it is very close to being budget neutral according to the CBO...and more importantly, how it could make life a lot better for many disadvantaged Americans...who wouldn't need such assistance if the 'status quo' was effective.
You want to fundamentally change the country because you believe it to be inherently unfair, oppressive and racist. You suppose nothing good and everything evil.
Which is surprising given that folks are literally killings themselves to get into this bastion of evil and wickedness called the US of A. You'd much prefer to see the nation turned asunder before recognize its greatness.
your unfounded assertions...
First off, you'll never find such statements from me on this board no matter how much you search...so what you just said is a fabrication from "whole cloth"...nonetheless, I'll respond by saying - actually, repeating to some extent - the fact that I have an MBA and used it quite a bit to promote corporate objectives...I totally believe in and practiced 'Capitalism'...BUT...I am also aware of it's fundamental shortcomings...
It is not a perfect system and that is why most everyone understands and accepts 'some measure' of a "Safety Net" for those who come out on the short-end of that system...such as when CEO pay grows 1,322% from 1978 to 2020, while average worker compensation grows only 18.0% during that same time period...this causes problems when it comes to low and middle income families being able to pay for child care, among a host of other family budge issues...the BBB bill addresses that problem...that's just one example.
The eternal debate is always about 'How Much' of a Safety Net is appropriate...for what Services...how to deliver them, and for how long...all good questions...but just saying "NO" without any discussion, is unacceptable...so, hopefully, you don't mind looking into that with me when it comes to the BBB Bill.
As far as the Racism issue is concerned, it's a real thing...even Coleman Hughes acknowledges that "Racism of the heart" still exists in the USA...so, there's still work to be done to ensure that ALL Americans feel equally respected and treated (don't even 'go there' with the equal outcome trope).
So, do you want to have a discussion?

It's a sliding scale for some....
that Chris recognizes a problem with this, it is sad that he can only identify it when it works against his beliefs.

was because he told them that he was the same. A conservative, blue dog Dem who gave clear messaging that he would never buy into your coastal, hard left communism.
Imagine conservatives not liking poverty but liking Healthcare and jobs. Very strange.
Why should he fall on sword for the coastal elites and their wannabees in flyover country?
