What a scum

And he continually gins up hatred and division on both sides.
I don’t doubt Hills would have done some of that if she had won. Can’t see it to this extent though, and I would be saying the same thing.

The next wack job may be more skillful.

Issue #1: If this guy did it, he deserves to go to jail. No doubt about it. That has nothing to do with your criticism of Trump's tweet (or whatever).
Issue #2: The fact that the didn't actually build any real bombs kind of makes it "bomb stuff" doesn't it?
Wouldn't you call that a facile analogy?

That’s the issue and again you can’t make it up.
I didn't know that's what you meant.
OK? No, not really. Slightly better? Yes.
It is not appropriate for a POTUS to tie bombs sent to the opposition, workable or not (whether they exploded or not) to his parties chances of electoral success.
I have no doubt that you disagree. But like you were in speculating about the motives and affiliation of the sender, you are incorrect.
You said, "It is not appropriate for a POTUS to tie bombs sent to the opposition, workable or not (whether they exploded or not) to his parties chances of electoral success. I have no doubt that you disagree."
I had said, "[Does it make it] OK? No, not really. Slightly better? Yes." By that, I meant that it was not really OK just because no one was hurt, but it made it slightly better. From that, you were supposed to understand that I agree (so, you were supposed to actually have some doubt that I disagree).
It usually takes us (you and I) 18 back-and-forth posts to figure out that we actually have some common ground. Maybe we can do better this time.
You said, "But like you were in speculating about the motives and affiliation of the sender, you are incorrect." Not sure what that sentence means due to the grammar, but I think it means that my doubts about the motives of the guy were incorrect. In response, I will say that I never made a firm statement in that regard, although I certainly expressed my doubts that someone could be stupid enough to think that doing this would advance Trump's cause, so why would any Trump supporter do it??? But, I do find myself constantly being surprised at how stupid the other end of the bell curve can be. It is hard to fathom that such people can still chew and swallow food, but apparently they do exist. We should not be signing them up to vote, but we do.
Edit to add this: I just saw that guy's van. Can that really be real? Really? Too incredible to believe.

It's not like anyone is going to chance their mind. And no one is going to show up to the polls who wouldn't have before this.
We also know he gins up that hatred on both sides.
All that’s already baked into the equation.
There will always be someone who was holding their nose, but still on the edge...and because of a guy, in a van, down in Florida, they can no longer hold their nose any more, and they vote the other way.
Personally, I don't get that. But I'm not at the margins, and I don't flip flop based on the insane actions of others. Other people do.
