I do not understand why so many people are upset that Donald Trump gets on the mainstream media. He has every right to voice his opinion, just like any other American citizen (and please spare me the "but he's not like any other American citizen. He's the president" line.)
The mainstream press pretends to be impartial and simply report the truth, but in fact anyone who's even half paying attention can see they report the news from a liberal and Democrat Party point of view. While that may not be exactly "fake" news, isn't that as dishonest as it gets, media-wise?
If the mainstream media were truly impartial, the left would say they were too far to the right and vice versa, but instead, the left defends the mainstream press and in general is happy with their reporting...which confirms, of course, the leftist bias of the press.
Maybe if they would actually try impartiality, Trump's critics would have a point.

CNN is not the press. They manipulate the masses with a clear political agenda.
Yes, they are an enemy to a free republic. No, there is no effort to restrict them. He is just calling them out.
Those same pretenders calling themselves the press have called Trump worse. Is he supposed to just sit there and let them take pot shots?
If there weren’t so much truth to his comments, the public wouldn’t listen.

Soon the outlets they objected to were gone.
You inadvertently parrot authoritarians all the time.
In fact to suggest he is is absurd and insulting. You display a complete misunderstanding of the power of the presidency. He is not just some regular joe. He is a national leader. THE national leader.
His attacks on the media are the rare combination of Nazi phrases (“fake news”) with communist calculations (“enemy of the people”). He revels in the angst that his enemies get from these comparisons.
You should have no doubt that his attacks on the media are signs of his authoritarian instincts. And of course of his rude assholishness, which also used to be something presidents didn’t display.
So if the mainstream news media, which pretends to be impartial, acts in an unethical manner (which they do), the president is supposed to be silent about it?
Obama went much further in attacking a "free press," as you like to call them, than Trump ever did.

Pretty ridiculous that anyone refers to them as “the press”. Trump made a mistake by referring to them as such when they are really propagandists.
(This is where if I were Chris in reverse, I would talk about how communists always seize control of the press to spew their Pravda like propaganda).
You cannot believe Fox is anything but, "propagandists" when the carnival barker Hannity attends Trump rally, and goes into Trump's "fake media" schtick.
Do you believe he is a journalist?
