Regardless of how the midterm elections turn out Tuesday night, President Donald Trump will have at least one thing to celebrate: His mission to remake the Republican Party in his own image has been an unequivocal success.

Trevor Noah, Samantha Bee, Colbert or Maher?
brown people they don't like, people on the beach they don't like and so on. Basically a terror group of thugs who beat up people, non-whites, whom they assume are not MAGA supporters, they assume are Jews or assume are immigrants - Tiki Torch bearers without white sheets.
They call themselves - Trumpenkriegers

Republicans are overall having a good night.
No blue wave for sure, but Democrats have made some decent progress.
But, Democrats have not made up enough ground.
We lost Congress, but if the Dems thought this would be a referendum on Trump, it failed
Now the fun begins as Trump deals with a Democratic congress
given the fact that most voters are very satisfied with economy situation, revealed by exit poll.
Trumpism validated in many parts of the nation. The GOP = Trump. Democrats did not make a dent in those areas.
Trump rejected in cities and suburbs.
The suburbs seemed to be the only ground where Democrats made a difference.

Have to stay in the fight. Democrats have to double the effort.
DNC needs someone like a Beto to lead us for 2020.
This "Lose our moral compass" crap is over the top. 150 years ago, half the nation thought it was a moral obligation to enslave Africans.
.... the rule of law, the press, intelligence services, science ... is no longer "just a thing" among 40+ % of the electorate.

expected. There is no reason that you can make any progress in rural area. The only consolation for us R is the win of Florida. I have admit Nancy Pelosi has leadership. So does Mitch Mcconnell.
That really energized and united Trump voters of all types.
Will be interesting to see of Dems go with how they campaigned (on issues, and an area with a lot of room for compromise on infrastructure, DACA, etc.) or if they go for Trump (a likely mistake, as it was for the GOP to go after Clinton, but we shall see).
It seems to me that people voted as they did in 2016.
The difference. Two things:
1) Democrats achieved better than anticipated turnout and 2) suburban women who voted R in 2016 voted D this time.
I suspect that will be the story, but we will learn more over the next few weeks.
"So every Dem Senator in a competitive race who voted against Kavanaugh lost (Donnelly, Heitkamp, McCaskill, and almost certainly Nelson), and the one who voted for Kavanaugh survived (Manchin). Coincidence?"
If everything you said is true (Trumps rhetoric hurt him, Dems got good turnout, etc.), then it would have been even worse for the GOP tonight if the Dems hadn't taken the low road on Kavanaugh. Remember: Many people, myself included, were voting for SCOTUS, not POTUS. The coordinated smear attack on Kavanaugh was a real motivator for people who didn't necessarily like Trump.
