conversation which was at eve of midterm election 2010, almost 2 years after Obama got into office, It's not difficult for fair-mind people to understand McConnell's intent by saying that. He was talking about how to avoid GOP's past mistakes, learn the lessons and win the power back in the future.

his actions were directly opposite of wanting to be met halfway or to be included in any policy of the Obama admin. - and that is on every issue before the gov't.
At no time did McConnell reach out or seek actions that would be considered reaching out for a common good for the country. He worked on placing obstacles in any bill or action Obama and D's wanted to work on. The article you post by the WaPo is a steaming pile of wishful thinking and political blind man's buff.
I have never said McConnell's quote was from the start of Obama's presidency. He had already turned his back on any policy by Obama even prior to the Obama inauguration and started working in opposition immediately upon Obama's second day in office.
Never did McConnell and the Republican party work with Obama on big policy. Lets talk Merrick Garland.
You seem to think McConnell and the R's were there at Obama's door asking to be included in on policy and Obama told them to fuck off. However - The opposite is true.
You suck at History.

and you Republicans will go is well beyond greed and dishonesty in government.
That 2010 Quote is as audacious and reprehensible as is his recent statement
I’m trying to remember the last time a Republican Congress actually worked with D’s to help move this country in a positive direction
