And they need to increase 5 fold for the needed 1.5 degree Celsius change. These numbers assume that the US comes back in at their previous Obama commitment levels.

Of course, they cannot definitively state that this will help in any way, and it will require a complete makeover of the world’s economy which will coincidentally massively benefit the little despot countries whose delegates have been placed at the heads of these committees.

Of course they do.

Remember when Obama wanted to sign an irreversible commitment for this? The Amateur.

They need to be tripled to keep the change at 2°C and quintupled to keep it at 1.5°C At least, that's what they think.

Thanks. Same thing though. Now triple the cost to achieve what they previously claimed and

5x the cost to get where they really want to go....though we don’t have any reasonable assurances that if ideally implemented it would ever work, and we all know that giving huge amounts of cash to third world nations run for the most part by corrupt governments has an exceedingly low chance of ever being implemented in a manner that is even mildly effective.

The money is far better spent adapting to the new changes if they do indeed occur.

Yes, trying to fix problem now is stupid. Let's wait and watch sea water cover coastal areas.

direct the money toward adapting. But never let a crisis go unused, tight? This will give your chance to fuck up the world economy on top of it all.

Learn to adapt. Stop expecting stasis.

Oh....and also understand that exaggerating the situation does benefit many.
