They need to be tripled to keep the change at 2°C and quintupled to keep it at 1.5°C At least, that's what they think.
5x the cost to get where they really want to go....though we don’t have any reasonable assurances that if ideally implemented it would ever work, and we all know that giving huge amounts of cash to third world nations run for the most part by corrupt governments has an exceedingly low chance of ever being implemented in a manner that is even mildly effective.
The money is far better spent adapting to the new changes if they do indeed occur.
