Washington show NFL teams would rather lose than sign Colin Kaepernick
Washington were pushing for the playoffs until two of their quarterbacks went down injured. But they have ignored a perfectly solid replacement
Colin Kaepernick will never play in the NFL again, that much was made clear this week. Washington’s decision to sign the lightweight talents of Mark Sanchez and Josh Johnson over Kaepernick, a week after claiming Reuben Foster – a man arrested twice in the last year for domestic violence – on waivers and announcing to the world that it was prioritizing winning football games above all else, is as shameful as it is predictable.
Washington plucked Johnson, who last threw a pass in the NFL in 2011, out of obscurity this week to back up Sanchez after Colt McCoy’s season ended with a broken fibula. McCoy previously replaced Alex Smith, who is out for the season with a broken leg suffered in Week 11.

If he wasn't a political hot potato, what team in their collective right mind would want a poor passing quarterback who may have priced himself out of the market?

analysis and metric altogether.
His ability was declining and doesn't support the ill will he'd create among a segment of a fan base. It's an entertainment industry and that's the analysis by the teams.
It is quite different from Nike's reasoning.
NFL career. That’s a pretty ballsy thing for a marginal QB to do.
Respect him for that even though I completely disagree with his protest manner.
I mean, he was pretty bad at the end of his career. Even without the political and media drama he would probably still be out of the league. And I do not care what your career is, we have all been around co-workers who although talented were judged to be not worth their excess baggage.
Or about $$$$
