Liberals first rule: Accuse others of that which you do. Accuse others of that which you are.
Bigots. Bring on Amy Barret. i'm sick of their shit. They don't even hide their anti catholic bias anymore.
The Knights of Columbus adhere specifically to the teachings of the Catholic Church - nothing more and nothing less. By claiming that the candidates membership in an organization because it adheres to Catholic Church teachings is anti-catholic. This is not new with Amy Barret being labeled with a new liberal term "orthodox catholic" in order to distinguish between those who are faithful to the teachings of the Church, and those who are only partially so. The do not accept the "orthodox catholics" based purely on their faith.
This organization does uncounted numbers of volunteer good deeds and services for the poor.
Good job Tulsi Gabbard! While your politics are left wing, your heart is still that of an American.

In 2008, there was scrutiny re candidate Barack Obama's affiliations re his church/Pastor Wright, along with Bill Ayers.
Nominees for the federal bench undergo great scrutiny. Because our country believes in separation of church and state, it is fair game to vet judicial nominees who may or may not have overzealous religious beliefs that may taint their ability to be fair and impartial jurists.
Certainly, using partisanship to attack one's religious beliefs is inappropriate. But, if there are genuine concerns re whether a nominee has an over-the-top religious or anti-religious agenda, I expect Senators to scrutinize the information in good faith, but respectfully.
You assume everyone views the Knights of Columbus as you do. Some view KOC as too political -- the Catholic Taliban types. [I have no opinion. Have always declined when asked to join]
Affiliation with any religious or secular group should be viewed in proper context. The starting point should be deferential to the nominee.

They highlight the fact that both are clueless as to the responsibilities of Congress, the Executive Branch, the Judicial branches and the difference between political candidates and judges. They obviously want only judicial activists who make law from the bench so long as the judicial activists are left wing. They have no business being members of the Senate, let alone members of the Senate Judiciary committee.
