His stupidity is on full display this month.
Please either shut down the Government again, .... and then watch the Senate vote 100-0 to reopen.
Or, go with the “national emergency” option, and divert Dept of Defense money to fund a racist campaign promise. Never mind the Wall was not an emergency until this month. Never mind that during yesterday’s briefing by Trump’s appointed intelligence chiefs, that the Mexican border was never mentioned as a national emergency by anyone. Never mind that not one GOP Senator asked a single question re national security threats involving the Mexican border.
The Wall was less of a border policy measure, but a taunt, a boast how good Trump was as a deal maker. “And Mexico is going to pay for it” was just a way of Trump saying “I’m so good I’m going to keep those people out and they are going to pay me to do it.”
Two years later, he shut down the government over 5.7 billion dollars, said he’d never sign anything without border money, and 35 days later he signed something without any money. He put himself in a terrible position: doing an unpopular thing (shut down), for an unpopular policy (the wall), came out and said he was happy to do these things, then fully capitulated. From a deal maker standpoint, it was an embarrassment.
It gets framed as a win for Dems because everything has to be framed that way because we are stupid, but this is the same person negotiating with North Korea, China, etc. And we just saw him negotiate on something out in the open, and he did everything wrong. Pretty red flaggy.

He’s bungled this from the start and now he faces the prospect of big concessions for something he once boasted he’d get for free. He keeps talking about an emergency order, that’s also unpopular, so that only gives the democrats less incentive to acquiesce.
Again, this doesn’t bode well for negotiations with other nations. This really shouldn’t have been difficult at all.

Regardless if you think the wall will work or not, it is not racist. By throwing that out, you show yourself as ignorant. I will admit that it may not work as well as Trump implies it will, but it will have a moderate impact at a minimum. I think a combination of the wall with additional security measures at official crossing points along with other technological methods along the wall will help greatly.

Mostly it is people supporting the rule of law rather than undermining it like you want.
The Left has some awful people cheering for its policies as well, by the way.
10 - Did you support a wall several years ago when the Democrats voted for it? If yes, go to 20; if not, go to 50.
20 - Are you a Democrat? If so, then go to 60.
30 - Do you support Trump's wall? If so, go to 70.
40 - Are you a Democrat? If so, then go to 60
50 - Are you a Republican? If so, then go to 70.
60 - You are not a racist. You are woke. /end/
70 - You are a racist, and you probably own a gun. /end/

That's what Tom Brokaw said over the weekend, just before he pissed off the left with the assimilation thing.
The main threat Mexicans pose is to our view of what American culture should be.
Sometimes truth hurts.
Absent any real support it's fucking nonsense...
mouth piece, cut from the same cloth as Charlie Rose.
If he built the wall he could not stoke the flames of paranoia
Possible compromise may be be a bail deposit equal to the average cost of hunting them down....
