Or, is the loan always to a club in a different league?

I make an exception for the World Cup.
The NFL has gone downhill...but still beats flopping Euro-pussies.

After that it’s like watching Big Ten football

I also enjoy the Premier League more than watching college football.
The Irish remains the one exception, but it is a close call.

Makes the weekend mornings more enjoyable. I'm watching Tottenham/Newcastle as we speak.
part of European soccer. It's not by rule, it's by bitterness toward each other. This bitterness is much stronger than that between Republican and Democrat. You probably have never seen Man united loan their players to Leeds, Liverpool and now Man city, Liverpool loan their players to Everton, Man United and now Man city, Spurs to Arsenal...
I realized I needed a team to follow, so I adopted Chelsea as I often hung out in that neighborhood when a student in London in 1988. First photo of my wife (American) and I was a random photo where we sharing a pint outside a Chelsea pub during the Oxford Cambridge boat race on the Thames.
Been following and listening to a podcast. Also watched the Amazon show re Manchester City’s 2017-2018 season and Netflix’s Sunderland til I Die. Fabulous behind the scenes looks at English football clubs.
Not a hater yet. I don’t hate any other teams. Really love the game. Enjoy it much more than American football.
Going to London in the Spring to watch a home match at Stamford Bridge.

But, I was in the “one per customer” line. 29 years.

Danny Ings is owned by Liverpool, but is playing for Southampton this season on loan. I don’t believe he can play in matches against Liverpool though.
I couldn’t get my head around loaning a player to a competitor.
Thanks.
some loans are not full loan in term of salary, the loaner team pay 20% of the loaned player salary, accepting team pay 80% of salary....

I don't even try and understand what's allowed and what isn't when it comes to the transfer window and player loans etc. I just turn it on and hey look who is playing for Man City now!

They are more convoluted than the salary cap/luxury tax machinations.
