We were told during the Kavanaugh hearing that because there were multiple accusers he must be guilty. So I assume the lieutenant governor is now toast. Some Democrats, important ones, have already called on him to resign.
How will Democrats feel if the black guy has to resign and the two white guys who wore blackface stay in office?

...I understand the point you're making, but the "Kavanaugh Treatment" cannot be mainstreamed. Ant political oppoenent can be conveniently taken down this way, particularly if the media wants the person removed.
And since this dirtbag is probably guilty - false accusations are rare - fuck him.
Since you cling to the presumption of innocence (which can only be overcome by a unanimous jury convinced BRD of guilt), is it your position that sexual assault allegations against an elected official or political candidate are meaningless, unless and until the person is criminally charged and convicted by a jury?
is a must to presume innocence, though certainly if the accusers credibility can be confirmed with evidence, then the claim is very meaningful.
Tough to prove something that happened (or didn’t happen) so long ago with no police report or witnesses. Unfortunately US politics had devolved into nothing more than 20-30 year old accusations of sexual assaults and supposedly racist behavior. Maybe the Republican and Dem parties need to be flushed down the toilet. Hope the socialists join them.

Keep up with your circus like acrobatic leaps, seeking to justify your support for Trump enablers.

We know that he responded to the first accuser by saying "fuck that bitch." That is a 1950s type reaction. He is a lieutenant governor and the second most powerful person in the state. He set a horrific example for all the people who work for the government and he has no credibility anymore on women's issues which, as many times as I joke, are of course important. He's already demonstrated that he is completely unfit for office and he should go. I am surprised that the Democrats have let him stay in power this long. He should have immediately resigned after those comments.
There often is a pattern re such conduct.
Fitness for political office vs fitness for the Presidency vs fitness for the judiciary vs guilty BRD in a criminal case, are different.
It is not a "one size fits all" proposition. Facts matter. Context matters. The level of scrutiny and vetting matters.
Denying it does not mean it did not happen.
But, it is also possible that two parties have different takeaways/perspectives from the same sexual encounter. The line can be fuzzy.
Bottom line is that Democrats cannot talk out of both sides of our mouths. We should hold our own to the highest ethical standards possible.

this guy doesn’t need to go. The woman is credible, has details, is a strong D with no political axe to grind, and the allegations are more recent.
Don’t get me wrong, I believed Ford for the most part that Bart did something way wrong to her all those years ago. But it couldn’t be proven which is why I also said I would vote to confirm. This case seems even stronger though.
However, Fairfax is not awaiting confirmation to the US Supreme Court.
Should he resign if he vehemently denies the allegations?
If he is unwilling to resign, do not know whether VA has an impeachment process to force him out of office???
But Democrats should pursue ouster if they have good faith reason to believe the allegations have merit.
But if the D’s don’t do what you propose and pursue getting him out, it’s rank hypocrisy.
But, the comparison to Justice Kavanaugh is not symmetrical.
Justice Kavanaugh not only denied Dr. Ford's allegation, but he also denied the encounter ever happened.
Moreover, even assuming Dr. Ford was being truthful, his confirmation did not hinge upon the credibility of Dr. Ford's allegation.
A Senator could completely disbelieve Dr. Ford, yet vote against Judge Kavanaugh because they felt he lacked the requisite temperament, or had lied about his stint in the White House, or simply did not trust his jurisprudence.
Conversely, a Senator could wholeheartedly believe Dr. Ford, yet vote to confirm Judge Kavanaugh because they felt the incident was too dated, and the product of relatively harmless high school immaturity, balanced against Judge Kavanaugh's distinguished career as a judge, and utter lack of any predatory or inappropriate conduct since college.
On the other hand, Lt. Governor Fairfax is an elected official. He must have the confidence of the electorate who voted him into office. He denies the allegations and has not been afforded the ability to confront the serious allegations in any meaningful forum. Should the Democrats investigate/vet the allegations? Of course. But, at this moment in time, he has not been charged with criminal wrongdoing. He denies he did anything wrong.
More time will tell whether he should be forced out of office.

You can choose two to get rid of but there is no way the 3rd goes. Let’s all admit this is a completely political bullshit process.

No way he’s getting impeached under the standard there.
