That doesn't mean they did a lousy job but really, you didn't know Cortez the Killer was a Neil Young tune.
That being said, Matthews attacking Hendrix, Zep and Floyd tunes is ballsy. There is nothing he could do to bring special light to their works.
I have been to several Jr. Brown concerts and he does some Zep and Hendrix and as great has he covers them, it's always a disappointment.
On the other hand - I would really like to have heard Hendrix cover of Cortez... .
