If not, the. Why haven’t you made a peep when he didn’t tip other caddies?
Honestly, I'm not sure.
On one hand, I think this is pretty cheap of Kuchar and would like to think that he would do better. On the other hand, what does he owe the guy?
What they agreed upon could certainly be the answer
An industry accepted number could also work if there is one (I tip 20% because that seems like the correct thing to do...)
I cringe a bit that the caddie says he deserves more. Deserves is weak, either you agreed it and earned it or you didn't.
I can hear practically my kids saying what they deserve (I deserved an A in that class... I worked hard, I deserve a vacation)
In any case, I would have taken the $15K additional..

The stand-in doesn't know Kooch's game, distances, and psyche, etc. as well.
But, obviously "El Tucan" did just fine if Kooch won the damn thing and therefore deserves more than a token amount.
Kooch tried to give himself a windfall of $125,000 that he would not normally get . Pretty low when he earned $1.3 million.
Also, when called out for only paying $3,000 he said "no, he got more than $3000". $5000 is bullshit to pretend to be significantly more and Kooch should have done some damage control then and paid the guy something more significant and claimed there was an "error" in the original payment.
Instead he doubled down. Will never root for the guy again, if a situation arises where I might have. Might cost him a little bit on the endorsement side.

...which is nice. You can't put a price on something like that.
