Putin ordered his flunkies to blow up a few apartment complexes - and kill hundreds of Russians - to creat a justification to invade Chechnya.
Hopefully the authorized leak of this will prevent it from happening (which is clearly why CNN has the story).
Also reports of a cyber attack on Ukrainian gvmt computers today. Hopefully it’s all bluster meant to put pressure on US negotiators….

Trump was trying his own "Reset Button" as Obama and Hillary did. Also as Biden did by providing Russia tech for it's pipeline to Europe.
Appeasement doesn't work. At least Trump's statement was just words, and short lived. Obama's actions gave Putin Crimea, and Biden's gave him a huge economy boost and the dependence of our European allies on his whim.

Hillary “lost”>30k top secret emails illegally kept on her insecure home server - we all feared they were in the hands of the Russians and Chinese. Trump mocked her claim that they were “lost” rather than that she was hiding them to protect herself from facing charges and joked that maybe Putin could find them for her.
It was damn funny, but of course, liberals don’t have any sense of humor (as can be seen in many examples,most recently when they seriously “fact checked” a Babylon Bee satire article).
Now, over the years, you have morphed this into a secret connection between Trump and Putin.
