But I'm a little bit suspicious the author really is a boomer. I think he has a few valid points and a few bad points regarding to his "apology". Personally it seems to me that the boomer generation does destroy a lot of things in this country.

When you discuss a generation you are involving millions of people, acts, political moves, court rulings, etc.. Given so wide a field you can find a lot of good and a lot of bad. He mentions the heroes of Normandy ,etc., as well he should but doesn't say much about the Ia Drang, Mekong, Fallujah (sp?). Have boomers made huge mistakes, yes, but we didn't put in fountains or restrooms that said, "Whites Only." We didn't lynch all those people or screw the Indians out of their land and lives.
These are only a few examples of what other generations have done.
I agree with you in being skeptical of whether he is really a boomer. Reading his latter parts about the politicians he evaluates, I don't need him making an act of contrition for me. I'm not even a boomer-too old.
