Playing a St. Pat's party tonight - Mix of classic party/folk rock and Irish classics.
Whaddya got?
Had to scratch that Saturday because of my MIL's 85th birthday celebration. Both sides Irish, so it was a de facto St. Pat's Celebration anyway. Afterwards went to a local Irish pub for a few pints and then on to a bar in town to see a friend's band. They tossed in some classic Irish tunes along with the U2, etc. Called it a night at 2 am.
Sunday morning made a full Irish breakfast. Cooked a corned beef low and slow all day and made two Irish soda breads. Went to a winery in my neighborhood in the afternoon that had an Irish duo performing along with green beer ( I stuck to wine there) and some Irish step dancers.
Sunday night ate the corned beef, cabbage, boiled potatoes with soda bread and Irish butter and washed it down with some Guinness. Sat down at 8 with an Irish coffee and watched The Quiet Man. Took my dog, Finn (named for Finn MacCool) for a walk. Returned 'neath the Irish tricolor flying by the door and called it a night.

and that is supposed to be tomorrow. Weird when the holiday falls on a Sunday.
So it was a friendly crowd and they dug it. We weren't lights out but the harmonies were tight.
Club gigs are great. Everybody who has seen me golf is shocked that I can play music competently. Soft bigotry of low expectations and all that.
I encouraged my boys to take up the guitar...but they foolishly did not take my advice. The goofiest guys who played in a rock band would always date the hottest babes. Maybe that's not the best basis for a relationship, but it certainly (apparently) made it easier to meet chicks.

And you nailed my impetus for learning guitar. Regularly outkicked my coverage. Baron can tell you I am currently doing the same.

We stayed away from crowds this year, and mostly hung out with family and friends.
Saturday Afternoon: corned beef, cabbage, etc. with parents and parents' friends. The older folks like to do lunch now instead of dinner.
Evening was eclectic, but non-Irish: Adult night out with another couple in an urban southern cooking restaurant in a revitalizing neighborhood...great to see--20 years ago no one would be going there. Moved 10 blocks into an historic and rich neighborhood for desert / post-dinner cocktail...notably, parked next to a Lambourghini Urus SUV and a Bentley Continental.
Sunday Afternoon: Irish folk music while smoking a pipe on the deck overlooking the forest...clearing the brain.
Tonight: More corned beef and cabbage with the younger family set (kids, nieces, nephews, etc.).
