Over the head with a stupid stick. What ever happened to subtlety?
Greyworm or the Dothraki not executing him or Jon on the spot doesn't make much sense to me.
The two directors decided that only they would direct the final episode (in order to avoid leaks). They would use no assistants. I think that is why the episode was disjointed.
I shouldn't say it sucked. It was good but not great. But most of all, I can't believe that I spent the past decade watching the show for an ending like that.
But I was rooting for Podrick, so it was generally a disappointment.
In Star Tek, there’s a well known axiom that the even numbered episodes were good, but the odd ones sucked.
In GoT, the odd episodes of Season 8 were good, but the even ones sucked.
Edit:Oops, his was meant to be in response to Iggle’s post, but I’ll leave it. I would have gone with the Baratheon bastard as well.
But I wouldn’t be surprised if it sucks.
