That’s when the tapes were discovered.
The impeachment hearings in 74 found nothing new. What was new then was the SCOTUS opinion that he had to turn over the rest of them which contained the real damaging info. Those tapes though were discovered a year before.
The thought that they would instigate impeachment proceedings on a long shot that they MAY discover something AFTER Mueller already investigated because of court composition is not rational.
But if the Dems vote to impeach without holding investigatory hearings first they are batshit crazy.
Impeachment hearings though that can’t lead to removal are a completely different thing.

They also want his taxes sooo I would again hazard a guess at Russian financing, lying on his taxes and inflating losses as alleged by Cohen.
Those would be my guesses.

Can’t help that the answer is boring to you.
It sets a standard for Trump to do the same, that is, to keep on investigating until he finds something...and if he doesn't find anything, to keep on investigating. I suspect a lot of these politicians live in glass houses, and yet they love to throw stones. Maybe we will drain the swamp yet...just not the way Trump planned on doing it.
The best way to drain it would be to get rid of him, the real swamp meister.
Swamp dwellers in both parties stand against him, in the name of (false)decency, etc.
The one thing that all members of the Swamp agree on: Outsiders need to be put in their place by any means necessary.

Careful though, lest people think you support the Swamp yourself. I just assume you don't know that you are acting on behalf of the Swamp and on behalf of Putin.
definition of the swamp.
Like his inauguration wasn’t also.
He’s fine with the swamp so long as he rules it and not his opponents.
