Oh! And his political positions would be to the right of Trump's by today's standards.

- Had his clock cleaned by Kruschev at Vienna, which gave us the Cuban Missile Crisis and near nuclear annihilation. Cue the dramatic hunched-over-desk photo (probably because he was stoned). Puke.
- Bay of Pigs. Nothing more needs to be said.
- Started our slow and ignominious descent into Vietnam. Yeah, sure he wanted us out, just after we secured an expensive victory...
- Slow rolled Civil Rights enforcement, which brought even Ted out against him.
- Supported the Baathist Coup in Iraq. History wants to forget about that one.
All the while he was on drugs and telling his teenage secretary to give oral in public by the side of a pool to one of his senior aides. The man was f-ing disgusting. There is no Kennedy curse, just a bunch of arrogant assholes with power and a media that protected them. They suck, and anyone who defends them is a sycophant and lacks all critical thinking ability.

and Equal Pay Act.
Bay of Pigs was completely planned by the CIA under IKE by the way.
Everyone says JFK was going to get us out of Vietnam Nam. Maybe someone should have told his Cabinet. Why that scumbag LBJ kept them on, especially that ahole McNamara is one of life’s great mysteries. JFK picked worse advisors than Trump. And a worse VP. When it comes to stolen Presidential races, JFK, his dad and their mob friends made Trump look like a schoolboy.
involvement there to some extent. Those that say he would have done what Johnson did are no more informed than those who say he would have eventually gotten us out. Also, the notion that LBJ was some sort of pawn to his advisors is BS. He had one of the strongest personalities of any prez, perhaps the closest to Orange that way. He knew it was going down the shitter, but didn’t want to lose face, and kept doubling down, hoping the North would throw in the towel. You can’t blame JFK for what he did anymore than you can blame IKE for JFK’s escalation. They all had a hand in it.
He picked LBJ cause he needed Texas to win and he was right. They certainly did a good job in Illinois and Texas stealing the election although the R’s did what they could as well especially down state in Illinois.

growth after 2.2% average under Ike?
Somehow, we muddle through, and (I would argue) over the long all are improving.
They would be calling for Trump's impeachment, full stop.
I will never understand the regard in which JFK is held.
But, you know, Camelot and all that stuff. Plus he was handsome.
BTW, I am a fan of JFK. I'm named after him.
as is his unfitness for office, and yet we just shrug.

I hope I at least merit a "No, numnuts..." for this.

There are very good arguments that JFK was unfit for office. I tend to agree with them, despite the fact that the first Irish Catholic prez was literally a martyr growing up in my family. I also agree that many who despise and criticize Orange will defend JFK’s fitness. I do not.
My point is that the situations aren’t similar in that no one knew of Kennedy’s fitness issues as they were occurring, but we all know about those of Orange. This is why the Kennedy situation didn’t set a precedent, like say the Clinton situation did, as we all knew about his fitness issues in real time as well. With JFK, it’s all retrospective.
I don't think anyone's main complaint against Trump is that he is a philanderer (which appears to have been). I don't think anyone's main complaint against Trump is that he is a drug addict. The main complaints about Trump may vary, but I would guess they are some combination of lack of intellectual curiosity, lack of critical thinking, extreme narcissism, extreme dishonesty, and overall temperament. Each of these faults appears to be at least two standard deviations from the mean (as far as presidents go).
Philandering, sure he was but I don't believe he had to pay for it. He was addicted to pain killers which were necessary due to injuries he received in combat, in service to his country. He was never a laughing stock due to his boorish behavior, did not kow tow to dictators and probably never bad mouthed war heroes like your boy Trump. I don't believe he would sit in front of graves at Normandy and bad mouth another war hero.
By the way, "fit" is an ambiguous word but I'm sure you did not mean physically fit in which case it would be no contest with the obese one.
The whole notion of Camelot was a farce. How that justifies this turd though escapes me.
He just doesn't hide his monstrous behavior. I think that endears him to his devotees.

nothing but venial grifters like Orange.
Eventually, the history books provide more balanced pictures of all of them. King may have done some bad things. Get back to me about Orange when he has done 1/100th of what King did and stared down and sacrificed what King had to do to accomplish it.

like the Bushes did (or like McCain or Romney would've done) that lurch our nation even more Leftward.

"Cover up" has evil connotations ala Watergate, etc.,. The press knew Kennedy was in constant pain-this was not a recreational thing. He began his addiction early on and things were impacted by his military service. The press knew this. Yes, Camelot was a farce as is much of the Kennedy legend. The supposed "Kennedy Curse" is more Kennedy arrogance such as skiing while drunk even after being warned, flying a plane that is too much to handle even after your flight instructor tells you not to, etc.,.
And talking about deception. Jimmy Carter came off as Mr. Niceguy, but his reputation via secret service agents was that he was the biggest asshole of them all.
Getting back to the original question, I guarded JFK and Trump is no JFK.

Not good and it was a cover up.
