She is a junior in Cape Cod HS. She just got 4 results back from AP tests.....3 scores were 3s...the AP physics was a 2
I thought if a kid got 3 or more scores of 3 they were an "AP SCHOLAR"
A teacher told her the "2" dropped her. I think the teacher is wrong.
Ironically..2 weeks ago won "ND BOOK AWARD" at her school. #4 in class out of 152...the top 3 have loads of Chatham $$$$ and tutors.
She has minimal family structure so i try.......
To be an AP scholar, I believe you need to average 3 or higher on at least 3 full year subjects. To be an AP National Scholar requires an average of 4 or better on a certain number of exams. I'm not sure how many. Sorry I don't have more info, but high school counselors should know this stuff. Sadly, many of them don't.
Many schools are discounting exams and grades and looking at community service, etc.
Sorry I don't have more info. When I was in school I wasn't involved in any scholar programs.
