They should want the entire nation to cheer for them. But, they've made it clear they only want half the nation to cheer for them, at the most. Politics in sport? Yuck.
Bad sportsmanship? I'm good. I'll watch other things.
Normally, I'd be watching every game I could. Not this time, though.
The first thing the entire bar thought of was to chant "Fuck Trump!" over and over again after the victory.
But I'm the only one who sees the politics, right Chris?
The woman behind the FoxNews guy waived a middle finger during the live shot.
The reporter said, "They are very happy. It's a bit political thing, as you can see, but they are very happy."
they have a point.

than the fact that YOU don’t like some of the team members politics?
And, their fans embrace it. "Fuck Trump! Fuck Trump!" It's weird, out of place, and dislikable. I would like to enjoy the sport, but fuck them for trying to ruin a good thing. I don't have to support them if they want to make the sport political.

I’ve enjoyed watching them.

Seriously?
I figured it was an obvious point that didn't require explanation, but the MSU picture just refutes your statement that backing it up doesn't make it ok.
Here is one example of the US Women taunting an inferior foe.
I take it back. I am outraged!
I get my preaching on Sunday at church.
When I want politics, I come here, and to certain news shows.
When I want sports, I also know where to go.
When these things are mixed, I tune out. I'm not alone. The women's team has made themselves dislikable...not to everyone, and certainly not to you, but they have done so.
Can you make an argument on any one factor I point to? Sure. Does it nullify my point? No.

I suspect that much of that noise is media generated... or their agent’s are looking for a Nike deal.
I watched the better part of three matches. Did they just do something in the news that prompted your post?
And the fault here - the inability to see anything without politics - is not with them, but you.

But see my post at the link. To say that I am being overly sensitive or overly focused on politics is obviously not true.

You should see our local team in Truro/Wellfleet. 6 players who would have Rapino for lunch
Some are among the best. Maybe half the team. There are superior players in clubs all over the country.
there are not many if any who are heads and tails better or above those on the team.
Lots of judgment calls between players of similar abilities or positional need.
Some parents and kids choose not to play on the higher level teams traveling around the country or get involved in the Olympic development scene. Club politics play a large role too. Many great players don’t get “ID’d”.

Her not standing for the anthem doesn’t help. I was more than happy to see her score 2 goals against Sweden. I’ve pretty much just watched the games and not much other coverage.
I really like Tobin Heath. She’s probably my favorite player. It will probably be a tough game today. Our defense has been a little too shakey for my taste. They could get bitten on that offsides trap.
Also, mixing politics into sports is like mixing state power with religion...no good can come of it.
opinion on Orange. And many of the rest agree.
