Why on earth would decently intelligent Dem candidates for President pretend to support policies that would obliterate this country, economically and socially? Although there is no question that many members of the party's base do HATE (virtually everything) this country, I don't really believe that any of the major candidates share these sentiments. Something is drastically wrong with us if we allow self-hatred to be the main motivation of our politics.
The political issues in 2020 is how soon do we move left?

this coming election belongs to us and it might be the last election that we ever win.
The younger generations are overwhelmingly liberal. Sure, people tend to be more moderate in their 50s than they were in their 20s...but generally speaking, once a person votes 3 times for one party, they rarely flip back.
In 20 years, the GOP is going to have to make major changes to stay competitive. Maybe it will be able to do so, once memories of the Trump embarrassment fade. But maybe not.

Any marginal increase in the traditional liberal lead amongst younger voters is now driven by Asian, Black, and Hispanic women.
Getting them to vote is the key.
The polling is quite consistent, across the board.
Trump’s popularity is directly related to age.

Biden who is acting senile and Delaney who is solid.
And another 20% as “conservative.”
That means that the AOC-Bernie loonies do not speak for the “base” of the party, only the noisiest members.

Do you think these two you prefer didn’t mean it when they raised their hands?
In primaries you run to the extremes, and in the general you move to the center. That is conventional wisdom for a reason.
