Incredibly stupid. There was NOTHING new to learn and this charade only exposed Mueller to GOP questioning. He looked bad, and that's being kind. Dems should be pissed at their leadership.
He had nothing further to add to his report (as he'd already said), and this simply allowed Republicans to take potshots at him, some of which were valid, some of which was just grandstanding.
This was another waste of time.

But that won't stop the hard-core culture warriors from either side claiming victory, will it?
their talking point. The right don't want this hearing, neither does Mueller as you know. The left desperately want this hearing, claim this win and need this win. They're proactive. The right are purely reactive/passive. Any fair-minded can see the obvious.
P.S. I didn't watch the hearing.

He seems to have left it up to his staff, all of whom, strangely, were partisan Democrats and half of whom had direct ties to the Clinton campaign either financially or otherwise. Weissmann probably ran it and directed the writing of Book 2.

Seemed not. Plus, the Book 2 part should never even have been issued.
he said this *after* Comey was fired.
