Note the strong approval ratings for moderate Republican governors in blue states.
If we accept that 2020 comes down to a dozen states, who cares about the margin of victory in New York and California.
If Biden cannot take command of the national conversation, maybe Steve Bullock is the guy.
The anti Trump voters will turnout. Need to give voters who are content with the economy, a stable choice.

Even self avowed libs on this board will quietly pull the lever against reparations, unlimited immigration, and healthcare for illegals.
Those aren't deal killers for most of us (and/or you may be exaggerating the proposals). Of course the Democrats are going to do and/or propose some nonsense, but on balance I prefer them to the Republicans. At least now. Last election I would have voted for Republican, but now they've been reduced to Trumpsters. I'm not worried about reparations. First of all, it'll never happen regardless of the Democratic candidate. Second of all, if by some chance it did happen, it would not be the end of the world. As for open borders, I guess I don't know anyone that specifically has on their platform to completely open the border. As for healthcare for illegals. Yeah, they already have it in some form.
...he regrets that one now.
Your defense for Dems is that they are actually lying about what they are saying. Then how can you trust them not to do anything?

But seriously. The only moves I've really disliked in the past were tax cuts and wars. Everything else is a matter of degree.
I think a wall is silly. I think reparations would be silly. There are real ways to reform immigration that don't involve a wall, and real ways to address the socioeconomic inequities brought on by the legacy of slavery and racism that don't involve reparations. Neither of them are decision makers. The idea is to have an even-keeled, intelligent leader who loves something, anything, more than his or her self.
