Comey is tweeting about the loss. Coats is the guy who implied in May that he would not comply with a declassification order. Bye-bye.
Meanwhile PapaD is traveling to Greece to retrieve the $10,000 in cash that someone in the last Administration tried to entrap him with, though he saw through the plot and rejected it. This is the $ that Mueller was mum about. PapaD wouldn't do this if it was not legal now for him to do so. They'll get the bill numbers and match them up to an entrapment effort. Would be bad if this effort pre-dated the alleged conversation in the bar that supposedly spurred on the FISAs.
Even the people leaning left on this Board have to see that Barr is on the move.

Conservative R forever. He had the temerity to laugh at the prospect of Putin coming to the WH after the Helsinki debacle when asked about it after not having been briefed that the moronic offer was going to be made.
Now the only quality valued is frothing bot like support for Orange.
You shouldn't complain. This is exactly what we should expect for apointments when the Deep State silent coup failed.
Root out the Deep Staters - who happen to all be lifers by the way. There might be some rookie mistakes here and there, but it's a necessary sacrifice to maintain our freedom.

Horrible choice. Consistent with Trump's pattern that loyalty to him is everything.
Coats was the real deal.
Don’t remember your post about him protecting Obama. Must have been on vacation.
You don't like him, I know, but he was very qualified to be Attorney General.
Plus, it is more important to have professionals at the ODNI than AG.
adoptive parents.

Always found it amusing that Holder was the one Barryite that Orange praised for looking after his leader.

And you know it.
It is a terrible idea to put political hacks in charge of intelligence.
you know (i.e., if Obama can have a wingman at Justice, Trump can too). Further, he is no hack. He has a better grasp of Mueller's report than Mueller did.
I will give you this: it took everyone by surprise. The WH did a piss-poor job of explaining to the public why he is qualified to do this. The roll-out sucks.
That's why we were always better at intel analysis during the Cold War: The KGB was a political organization, and told the Kremlin what it wanted to hear.
This guy is a Trump loyalist, and the quality of our intelligence will suffer because of it.

and his campaign. But you know this.

And note: you guys are the ones with a history of relying on "the stupid American voter, or whatever."

And you're going to be hearing more about that.
I understand your concerns regarding Ratcliffe's intelligence eperience deficit, but given the Deep State that has arisen, an outsider is a good idea.
No president should endure the kind of unprofessional, partisan leaking that went on throughout the IC by holdover, partisan loyalists. And given the coordination that went on between the FBI and CIA and the rest of the DOJ behind the president's back, it is clear that the US IC community has developed a sense of power that they were never meant to have.
They felt so emboldened that they attempted to take down a sitting president on false charges, they spied on an opposing party's campaign, they attempted to falsely entrap the presidents campaign members to accomplish their political goal, and they orchestrated regular leaks - always to harm the president.
I welcome the choice. No good old boy connections will mean that the information at the DOJ will now be more available for further house cleaning.
Clapper revealed his low caliber on multiple CNN segments. Ratcliffe is smart, he will come up to speed easily and quickly in a position that didn't even exist until Bush II, and he will start on Day 1 already better than James Clapper.
You don’t understand what it means to be a “political hack.”

That is not really a defense of Clapper.

Swallow the Fox spooge all you like. It is still true.

But you are over the top about any association that Trump campaign people might have had with the Russians. Your ridiculous.
