"“That was some crowd. And we had twice the number outside,” Trump recalled. (Around 6,000 people stood outside the venue to watch on a screen.) “And then you had this crazy Beto. Beto had, like, 400 people in a parking lot. They said his crowd was wonderful.”

I was just having this conversation the other day, learning lessons from 2016. I see the crowds he gets and then I look at the crowds the Dem candidates are getting, and it's probably something about which we should be mindful, because that same enthusiasm gap should've been obvious to us in 2016, when the Hillary rally crowds were noticeably smaller and Hillary signs were noticeably less common than Trump signs. Dem candidates need enthusiastic support, like with Obama, or throngs of their base just don't show up to vote. The GOP has far less of a problem in that regard. If they nominate Warren or Mayor Pete, I think the minority vote will shrink below Hillary's percentages from 2016.
There is no doubt that people love this guy. He knows it. No Democratic candidate would or could boast that they could shoot someone on Fifth Avenue and their fans would love it. I've never seen a more loyal cadre of fans than many on this board.
As far as obvious, back in 2016 it was pointed out by me as well as some in the media, Trump lawn placards littered communities with just a sprinkling HRC backers. It was plain to see, this did not portend a HRC outcome on election day no matter what the polls indicated.
As far as Trump asserting his dominance of crowd size in El Paso yesterday, it is clear the moment was far too big for this POTUS (as with most moments of his oval office wrecking) to grasp what the crowd size really meant.
His lack of smarts and compassion rule the day and his lack of capacity creates a stupefying reception in his base. Cole - a perfect example.
